Update: Deebo Samuel has officially ask to be traded

I have a great idea...

instead of trading massive amounts of capital, and leveraging the cap on one player who LaFleur would have to create a whole new playbook for, why don't we just have LaFleur create the whole new playbook for Mims and do away with the need for expending the capital and cap leveraging?

BTW, we'd have to do that for Hill too, just sayin'... neither Hill or Samuels are plug and play WR's.

understand @BlindsideD'Brick we know Joe Douglas will do what it takes but he is not going to offer a multitude of frivolous picks so yes he could offer the same package that he did to Chiefs for Deebo then opens the door for one of our top picks to be used to accumulate more in return regardless if it is No. 4 or No. 10 but no way in hell will he over pay by giving the No. 10 plus both seconds and a third for Deebo then have to pay the man a contract 4 years $ 125 M is just straight insanity. if Mike Tannebaum or Mike Maccagnan were still at the helm that is the moves they would do without hesitation.

Never suggested 10, both 2nds and a 3rd. That’s ridiculous. But two high picks for an All Pro #1 WR is a slam dunk for me. You pay players like this. We’ve got the $$$. Time to start playing football games with the big boys. We need blue chip talent to compete with the Bills. We swung for Tyreek. I’ve gotta believe we’ll be in this thing for Deebo.

I disagree. Lafleur was San Francisco passing game coordinator so his offense should be familiar. Also Hill is best after the ball is in his hands .

disagree all that you'd like to... Deebo and Hill are not typical WR's who excel within the confines of an offense. They have special roles created for them. more Kudos should go to their coaching staffs for their stardom.

I’ve gotta think the 49ers are going to be motivated more by better draft pick compensation than where he wants to go. Especially if the relationship is bad now.

The Jets have the ammunition to make this happen if they want to.

I agree, but the problem is your going to get stupid competition on this guy, so I was thinking # 10, and 38 for Deebo and #93. I would rather not give up 3 picks for one guy, but rather 2 and get the player and a later pick. Im also looking at #10 as a bit of a no mans land pick because I’m not enthralled with any of receivers other than Jamison, and unfortunately, he wont be of immediate help. This pick is a real land mine for me …..

Joe Douglas won't be stupid he won't fall into trap what he could do is offer one or two valuable players in the trade especially tipping his hand on who he may draft by dealing someone. Like Fant, or Ashtyn Davis even Bryce Hall

understand Joe Douglas has patience and discipline he won't fall into a trap to get more than he is willing to offer. He will also seek to speak to Deebo and work out a new contract before the final steps of negotiating terms of the trade. we can all speculate but in reality the 49ers didn't want to trade with us last year because they are still upset at Robert Saleh leaving and taking all of his friends and associates with him. So even though Joe Douglas may of reached out doubt no I highly doubt the 49ers will consider anything the Jets have to offer even if it is the best package out there. Keep that in mind.

Now maybe they have gotten over their butt hurt feelings, so they will weigh all the offers and the Jets 10 pick could return a hefty return in a trade with a team seeking to move up.
