boom... there is the package to SF.Joe Douglas won't be stupid he won't fall into trap what he could do is offer one or two valuable players in the trade especially tipping his hand on who he may draft by dealing someone. Like Fant, or Ashtyn Davis even Bryce Hall
what's so funny?
That picture was originally all in Niners colors.what's so funny?
let me see if i am tracking you...
1.) your first post was positive towards the deal because of risk/reward of drafting an unknown commodity and using the same capital for a known commodity and an added asset?
2.) this post seems to suggest that if it is for a WR, then your valuation doesn't apply.
if that is the case, i couldn't agree more.
LOLz this sounds terrifying when framed this way!!but now you will also be getting a salary of $25M what ifs. he is going to want massive guarantees but will he show up? I have a problem when a player wants QB money then decides he wants leave the organization that drafted him because he feels under appreciated. did we not already have that same problem a few years ago?
I think JD has something up his sleeve regarding Fant and/or Becton already in place
Perfect. We have Moore and Berrios for that already. If he wants to be WR only, I’m ok with it. Just think Deebo is a known quality at WR, and is young. London, Wilson, Olave are not known qualities on an NFL level. Getting him gives us another direction draft wise to address specific areas of need. Before FA, everyone was penciling in McBride, Rucker etc as TE needs, now with Uzomah and Conklin, no need to go that route early. Same principle here…..Deebo reportedly doesn’t want to run as a dual threat player anymore. Specifically the jet sweep plays. He wants to be a WR only. Doesn’t want to beat his body up so much. A big part of his success, but I understand.
from people around the situation more there are two Texas teams that are really high on acquiring him. One I think is his preferred choice Cowboys, but Texans need another receiver to pair with Brooks for their young signal caller and might be willing to part with some premium albeit not first round picks to acquire him.I do have a feeling that if Deebo is dismayed with the system and how he is used in it, then the Jets won't be the answer, since he would be playing in a very similar system and used in a similar way.
I just don’t want to be one of those teams that give up premium draft capital and also pay out a huge big dollar contract.I do have a feeling that if Deebo is dismayed with the system and how he is used in it, then the Jets won't be the answer, since he would be playing in a very similar system and used in a similar way.
That's 6 teamsokay folks there are officially four teams that have inquired about Deebo since yesterday:
Houston TexansGreen Bay PackersKansas City ChiefsNew York JetsAtlanta FalconsDallas Cowboys
was originally four teams then as you can see on this replyThat's 6 teams
that instead of deleting just edited that origin postOther teams that are said could be interested have yet to make an official inquiry like the Detroit Lions, New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons
As a dual threat he is worth a trade and contract. As a WR only, I wouldn't do it because I don't want a player telling coaches what he is willing to do and not do.Deebo reportedly doesn’t want to run as a dual threat player anymore. if they want a dual threat guy that can also return kicks then Velus Jones Jr. is your guy, pure speed and shiftiness and could be the reason why the 49ers are seriously going all in on researching him to likely replace Deebo. As a dual threat he is worth a trade and contract. I'm fine with drafting a player like that. Deebo might be feelin' himself too much.if they want a dual threat guy that can also return kicks then Velus Jones Jr. is your guy, pure speed and shiftiness and could be the reason why the 49ers are seriously going all in on researching him to likely replace Deebo.
I'd love to trade both 2nd round picks @ 35 and 38 for this beast.
Then trade down from 10 in order to pick up an additional 2nd round pick.
(Potentially stealing Deebo for a single 2nd round pick
I believe you start the process now. This team has an above average OL, a couple of decent WR’s in Davis and Elijah Moore, a couple of good TE’s. The defense needs 3-4 players. It’s not as far off as some are saying. Go get players like Samuel if the 49ers present a fair trade. Swing big now. Zach Wilson will take off next season with the addition of Samuel. This team needs a few stars. More playmakers on both sides. The draft is important, but far from a guarantee. 26 year old stars don’t become available often, but this year has been an exception to the rule.We have this year and probably next with Wilson on his rookie contract to build up this team via the draft and with cheaper younger free agents . Hopefully if Wilson shows acceptable development this season we can begin to augment the roster with strategic high end free agents to take us to that next level
