So Joe Douglas offered the 35th, 38th & 107th for Deebo Samuel and 9ers said no, they want first round picks plus a player but things could change. With the Lions interested they might cave and give up the 32nd & 34th picks. Right now believe they offered the 32nd, 66 & 97 picks but not the 34th.

I can see the argument that the team is not ready for a big investment. But the only way to find out if Zach is the real deal is to give him a good supporting cast, and see whether he sinks or swims.
If you give him nothing in terms of weapons, then you are making the same mistakes the franchise made with Darnold and others before him.
Who presumably you would then have to pay when his rookie deal is up.
We have given him an above average OL, FA wide reciever and drafted one. How much more does the kid need?

Right now, the team is not cap-strapped. When these picks from the past couple years mature, that may change. But Deebo can be afforded right now.
