A source spoke to Nate this morning and he was expecting to pass waivers and sign with the Jets in the morning. Told us he loves the direction of the team and that Joe Douglas was responsible for signing him as a Rookie Free Agent with Philly and now bringing him to the Jets. He’s fired up.

Really? I'm not sure how well he fits the scheme, but that is why they coach. They know how to utilize him in their scheme better than I would.

If you consider JD's other waiver wire pickups, he has been excellent with them. JFM, Quincy Williams, Berrios...that is a pretty solid track record.

Personally, I think he was just being nice. I read somewhere in one of the articles discussing his release that he was rated as barely mediocre. If they did in fact let him come back it would only because he knows the system and almost certainly it would be a one year deal at minimum wage.

Herbig and yes, Feeney, are better options than GVR. He was the weak link on this o-line. He got beat like a drum. Saleh can’t be serious.

Sometimes and pay attention here, it’s just nice to be nice. Cost you absolutely nothing to be nice to a former player who wore the colors and did his best . He’s no longer a part of the team because the talent level has hopefully been upgraded beyond his abilities so what’s the hurt .

I’m sure GVR is a good guy, and I know there’s an affinity for him because he’s a home town guy. But his play here was bad. Call a spade a spade. Sorry if that’s offensive to you.

So its okay to kick Him in the ass as He's shown the door? There's a right way to do business and there's a wrong way. Its called class. A player gets released you wish him well and thats it. Maybe even a nice send-off so the guy might get another chance somewhere else. No need to destroy whats left of his confidence and psyche. Players watch stuff like that, believe me. A class organization is what you want to be known as around this League. I think the Jets are on their way to becoming one under the current Leadership.

his play was bad.
he routinely missed assignments to where even laymen can see the breakdown.

but for Saleh to be gracious about putting another man's opportunity to make a living and upsetting his family's lifestyle is about being a professional "boss".

the fact that he was dumped all the "calling a spade a spade" that was needed.

lastly, taking a pot shot at the player on his way out is no way of making players you want feel better about an offer from us to play here.

Thanks for picking me up . I didn’t want to push the issue and be like other boards . Glad someone got where I was coming from.
@gmf1369 has created one heck of a forum here with some awesome folks. The maturity level here is off the charts.
