with former Patriot now GM you have to wonder after all the bad press that Flores created would be stupid to hire him, but then again how you going to hire a former QB to be HC with really no coaching experience?Well, either way they go, it’s going to be a major story.
He challenged the league and the owners . If this guy gets a job in the NFL It’s either a deal that was struck by the league and a team or a miracle.Give it to Brian Flores.
What he said to Tua was stupid of him and very foolish but I think he deserves a 2nd chance to redeem himself.
And Josh McCown? He should have to earn it. He's never had any NFL Coordinator Experience let alone an NFL HC resume. It shouldn't be given to him because there are black coaches out here already more deserving than he is. He should have to climb the NFL coaching ranks just like everyone else.
In the words of Clint Eastwood “ deserve got nothing to do with it “ . He did what he did knowing that they would be a price . Don’t do the crime if you’re not willing to do the crime . I am proud he had the “sand” to do what he did but even more proud that he did it knowing the possible cost .But don't you think he had the right to challenge the league? How are there 32 NFL teams and only 1 black coach Mike Tomlin? As a black man himself and former black HC I feel he had every right to blow a head gasket. And shouldn't be punished for it.
And in regards to calling out Miami's ownership? If that owner truly pressured him into losing games and bribed him 100k for every loss? He deserved every right to call out and expose Miami's owner. If true? Stephen Ross must be forced to sell the team and Pete Rose blackballed from NFL Football (forever) because that is 10x worse than gambling on your team (to WIN).
I 100% feel he was wrong for disrespecting a young QB kid Tua but I believe he deserves a second chance to redeem himself.
now McCown is officially out as a possible candidate but now Lovie Smith is in? Man this team is scraping around to officially hand the keys to Brian Flores, they must be kicking the proverbial can to make enough noise then to settle on the guy who has been making a racial ruckus in the media...

And they’re trying to put it out using gasoline.Good move by McCown. Thats a dumpster fire down in Houston.
also hearing Josh McCown could join Lovie's staff as O.C.? I would consider him QB Coach first, but whatever...Safe steady pick. Lovie is a veteran calming force. They need to get stuff figured out. Questions all over the place. Maybe a lighting rod HC isn't the best thing right now for the Texans.
QB coach. Pep Hamilton is likely to be the OC.also hearing Josh McCown could join Lovie's staff as O.C.? I would consider him QB Coach first, but whatever...
Texans. This would be a great hiring of Lovie Smith for Philadelphia.
He never had a prayer to win down in Tampa Bay during his two seasons of 8-24 with the Buccaneers back in 2014-2015 but just look at the job he did in Chicago for 9 years going 81-63 with a SB appearance and only 3 below .500 losing seasons (and years of 8-8, 9-7, 10-6, 11-5, 11-5 and 13-3).
He really coached his ass off with the Bears.
Josh McCownI can agree with Josh McCown starting off @ OC but HC would've been extreme.
I'm ok with him skipping QB coach and diving right into an OC tryout and that's only because as an NFL former QB he's pretty much already got 18 years of NFL experience as a QB coach (pretty much a career backup QB as a player).
Jeff McCown as NFL Head Coach? A bit extreme.
Jaguars requested permission to interview Pep Hamilton for their O.C. opening...Pep Hamilton
I'm aware, but it seems Houston is going to promote him to OC.Jaguars requested permission to interview Pep Hamilton for their O.C. opening...
