I'm all for Lovie Smith being the next Coach of the Texans. IMO he will do wonders for this team.
Agreed. OC right off the bat? Might be a reach.also hearing Josh McCown could join Lovie's staff as O.C.? I would consider him QB Coach first, but whatever...
I liked Ginger & Maryann better1 and done….. although I like Lovie ….
All good hires . I wonder if ole Lovie is gonna shave and present that cooperate image .Pep Hamilton promoted to offensive coordinator and Frank Ross has been retained as special teams coordinator.
He'll be a head coach again...even if he has to take a step back and be a coordinator in the meantime.Give it to Brian Flores.
What he said to Tua was stupid of him and very foolish but I think he deserves a 2nd chance to redeem himself.
And Josh McCown? He should have to earn it. He's never had any NFL Coordinator Experience let alone an NFL HC resume. It shouldn't be given to him because there are black coaches out here already more deserving than he is. He should have to climb the NFL coaching ranks just like everyone else.

When I listened to the beginning of the interview, his claims were generalized and he spewed the social justice rhetoric...his attorney did the same when he interrupted. When you bring a lawsuit against someone you are making very specific claims based on rather concrete evidence. Maybe Flores has this but it wasn't immediately put forward during the beginning of the interview. To me, it means that the evidence isn't very strong and thus the lawsuit is likely frivolous. He was only an idiot for telling Tua he wished they would've drafted Mac Jones instead of him. That was very idiotic.
But standing up for his rights as a black man in this Country wasn't "idiotic". It was the right thing to do.
No matter how many times MLK Jr, Malcolm-X and Rosa Parks (so many others) were jailed (and punished) for doing the right thing etc they always stood up for themselves and their people (and rightfully so).
Same with Brian Flores. He had no other option other than to stand up for what's right and not only for himself but so many other black coaches (past, present, future) because at the time of his firing there were 32 NFL white owners but yet only 1 black head coach in Mike Tomlin? That is the definition of pure NFL white racism.
Nothing he's done since being fired is to be called and considered as "idiotic" and regardless if he's forever punished by the NFL for exposing them as racist or not he should never regret it. He did the right thing. He's a leader not a sheep and he's earned my respect for it (same as Kaep did).

Don't the Williams sisters and Gloria Estefan own the dolphins? There are 32 NFL teams with all white owners.
At the time of his firing there was only 1 black NFL Head Coach (Mike Tomlin).
Can you please explain that to me?
They all own percentages of the team but Ross is majority ownerDon't the Williams sisters and Gloria Estefan own the dolphins?
Gloria and Emilio Estefan own 0.5%, , Venus Williams 0.5%, Serena Williams 0.5 %, Fergie 0.5% and Marc Anthony 1%. He got Jennifer Lopez's 0.5% in their divorce. The family of Wayne Huizenga owns 5% percent, the remaining 92%belong to Ross.Don't the Williams sisters and Gloria Estefan own the dolphins?
What percentage of "female, asian, indian, Native Americans, Native Hawai'ians and other Pacific Islanders, Alaska Natives, Transgendered persons" play in the NFL in comparison to the over 50% black population of players who play in the NFL?
And what percentage of "female, asian, indian, Native Americans, Native Hawai'ians and other Pacific Islanders, Alaska Natives, Transgendered persons" are applying for NFL League Interviews while getting declined time and time again?
Plesse.
Show me your statistical facts.
There are 32 White NFL Owners but yet only 2 Black Head Coaches and the rest are being embarrassed and degraded during the Rooney Rule and if you find that "funny"? Well then to each our own.
(but I find your post above as being insensitive because there's nothing sarcastic about the NFLs racism against black HCs).
