I have heard Strange's name come up a few times. He does fit the scheme, and has potential as an interior depth guy.

Tevin Coleman’s one-year deal with the Jets is worth $1.5 million. He received a $250k signing bonus.
Coleman’s base salary is $1.25 million & $400k is guaranteed. He can earn up to $800k in rushing & receiving incentives.
Cap hit is $1.5m.

like me or hate me but seems like Stephon Gilmore to the Jets could be a thang. Now if this is the play one or two years. Technically one year with guarantees but a team year deal would be optimal to continue the growth of our corners and focus on other areas of need through the draft early. seriously believe the Jets have a deal to trade one of the top two picks, and signing Gilmore would make it more real.
I am warming to the idea, mainly because I could see his role as largely filling a temporary void and developing the young CBs already in house. It is not my ideal type of acquisition, but I understand the logic behind it.
