INDIANAPOLIS -- A look at what to expect Thursday from a New York Jets' perspective:

The Buzz: Quarterbacks, quarterbacks, quarterbacks. They will meet the media, and you know what that means: A jam-packed news conference for Jameis Winston, who will face a barrage of questions about his character, maturity and off-the-field issues at Florida State. This is all about public relations for Winston, who no doubt has been coached up on how to handle the moment. Based on Lovie Smith's comments Wednesday, it sounds like Winston has convinced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he's worthy of the top selection. Marcus Mariota, who could be the Jets' choice at No. 6, will be the other featured attraction in the media room at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Combine schedule: The quarterbacks will be weighed, measured and examined by doctors, but there won't be any throwing and running until Saturday. By the way, Jets owner Woody Johnson is planning to arrive Saturday for the quarterback workout. Relax, it's not what you think. Typically, Johnson shows up every year on Saturday. ... As for on-the-field workouts, the only positions in action will be kickers and special teamers. ... The offensive linemen and tight ends will be tested on the bench press. ... The defensive linemen and linebackers are scheduled to arrive into town.

Players of interest: Aside from the quarterbacks, the wide receivers and running backs also will meet the media. In other words, this is the day for the glamor positions. Receivers Amari Cooper, Devante Parker, Kevin White and Dorial Green-Beckham will draw the biggest crowds. Green-Beckham is one of the more compelling stories, and it's not because of his last name. He's a 6-foot-5 playmaker, but he has multiple red flags, including a couple of marijuana arrests.
