The Jets have waived K Chris Naggar.

Naggar (5-11, 193), who signed with the Green & White in May as an undrafted free agent out of SMU, made a 30-yard field goal against the Giants in Saturday's preseason game and missed a 53-yard attempt. He began his career at Texas from 2016-19 before transferring in state to SMU. He went 17 for 21 on field goals in the 2020 season (81%), and made 43 of 46 extra points (93.5%).

The Jets need to fix this position seems like every year it's some walk on with no experience guy. Every other team has this crucial position locked down. That guy they signed two years ago cost us a win against Buffalo. He was missing extra points. Punting now that position is solid for sure.

If Ammendola can hold down this position that would be great. Had a big leg and its the little things like making the extra point. Hope he has a long career but he may not know it but he is on probation.
