So do they sign a more expensive known quantity like Juju Smith-Schuster or draft someone like Chris Olave?

Imagine having that receiver that can match up with the other teams best CB and still get his catches. Now their 2nd best cover CB has to cover Moore? Good luck. Then your 3rd best guy has to take Berrios and you have another mismatch. Throw in a fleet pass catching TE and it gets better.

I'd love to see them give Zach a vertical passing game....

Don't forget Davis. We essentially have some very good #1A-#2 WRs, when healthy. Moore and Davis, plus Berrios is a nice trio. Adding another weapon at WR AND TE would give ZW everything he needs. Too bad about Mims, he appears to be a big whiff. Would love to know the backstory there because he would/could have rounded out the group nicely.

we already have a number one not the prototypical 6'2" - 6'4" number 1...
Elijah Moore is our number one but we need another guy like him, versatile...
Braxton Berrios is or could be our slot guy aka number 3 receiver...
Corey Davis is or will be that number 3b guy that will lineup outside but won't be considered that possession guy we signed...

you draft these players, you scheme for them like they have done for Moore and lately for Berrios...

I wouldn’t mind Burks and I like Williams from Bama . Trouble is I’m not sure I want to spend a 1st on a WR anymore considering what we already have and what I believe we need . It would be awesome to have our own DeVante Parker type, I don’t want our “hero” zeroing in on one particular WR on the regular.
I want an Anquan Bolden type kind of Curtis Samuel ,,

but also think we need that next Quincy Enunwa type receiver that is why I think NC State Emeka Emezie would be perfect...

having this receiver group next year would be terrifying for defenses to game plan for:
Elijah Moore, Jahan Dotson & Corey Davis with Braxton Berrios, Emeka Emezie in rotation... Leaves the door open for Denzel Mims another year to develop his craft and come along at his own pace... Also I know they want Jeff Smith to be that other OW doesn't mean the team can not carry 7 receivers on the main roster...

being said that, I think they sign a FA RB in Jeff Wilson Jr. to add with Michael Carter & Austin Walter... Know they are teetering on Ty Johnson and with Tevin Coleman about to be a FA opens the door on if they will carry 4 RBs next year... With that said La'Mical Perine will have to find or be sent to a new home... Would hope they would draft another guy like Jerome Ford or Jerrion Ealy but if they get their guy in FA our backfield could be set for a few years...

the main question now, the tight end position...Yeboah showed last game he can run a couple routes and catch the ball... If he can learn how to properly block he is a good number three option... Is Trevon Wesco that number two option? Do they re-sign one of the three veterans in Griffin, Kroft or Brown? But drafting our new number one is a NEED... No to signing a FA...

he is the only TE that is a Top 25 1st Round pick
because he is literally a well rounded guy - a 3 down player type

Wydermyer is considered to me as that tweener 1st round

if we wait to the 2nd round a player like Cade Otton from Washington is a guy to keep an eye on...
another versatile well rounded option Charlie Kolar from Iowa State probably a late 2 early 3 option...
after that the talent falls off considerably but there is an older tight end prospect from Wisconsin in Jake Ferguson that would be a couple steps better than Ryan Griffin but same mold...

have McBride on the Big Board inside the 25 rated at 22... But think he will go anywhere between 18 - 23 if the draft board falls right with 2 trades into the Top 5...

Maybe we take a page out of the Ravens 2018 draft playbook and select two TEs. In 2018 they selected Hayden Hurst #25 in round 1 and Mark Andrews at #86 in round 3. They obviously hit it big with Andrews, not so much with Hurst. BTW, their other 3rd rounder that year was OT Orlando Brown, so a pretty good example of the quality you can get outside of the first two rounds.

A kid that interest me is the Iowa TE Sam LaPorta . He can block,, and he can get down field . He’s not fast, but he’s better than what we presently have going forward.

when it comes to TE we need that upgrade over Trevon Wesco to me he is a decent blocker type but more of that special teams tight end that can spot role play on offense... Can line up as number 4 option especially in goal line situations... He can be the backup fullback or actual fullback if they want to put Nick Bawden as the power back behind Wesco on short yardage situations, that would be interesting to see...

We need a number one TE to be there with Zach for years:
Trey McBride
Cade Otton
are both those type of guys
Jalen Wydermyer has the athleticism but is raw
Jahleel Billingsley also raw

now as a number two TE need that guy to be a vertical threat not an every down player someone like
Isaiah Likely comes to mind
Braden Galloway another vertical option
and
Trae Barry would be a steal day 3

if we do a trade we could fleece someone, not sure at the moment who hearing 5 teams looking to move up for various reasons

but the range of those teams are widely spread around the first and one team does not have a first this year...

but if we can trade down then the second first we could get lucky that the Eagles want to move up into the Top 10 with our Seattle pick now that their first round picks are in the 20s they would give two of those three picks and the Jets would end up with 3 first rounds this year mortgage one to one of those teams that does not have a first this year for a 2023 first just saying...

still have 2 firsts and when closer to the draft will know where all the prospects true ratings will be but for sakes mocking now would take

would hope they also go after

would set two position groups with proper depth for the foreseeable future
