"We Need to Execute" LaFleur Media Availability (9/29)

Key Stuff I Heard:
1.) "it's a precision league".
2.) "you have to execute".
3.) "we want to have more play action".
forgive me for being to "basic", but if you have 5 starting OLinemen, and you're running a zone blocking scheme, the precision is going to take time to develop, because they don't know each other's tendencies, and more than not likely what the plays look like when run perfectly against a live defense. this is going to stymie the execution in the running game, and hamper the ability to play action.
why not try to see if that Oline can simply move the Dline back and get some yards.
a.) the execution of up the gut running plays is a ton easier than blocking sideways, because the precision needed isn't as drastic.
b.) they get to know each other while executing simpler plays.
c.) they open the play action by having a running game.
am i being too simple? is this a crazy thought?

with Denzel Mims going to be active and if he plays the way we all know he can ( @jets82 ) has been screaming about... then maybe it will open up routes for Davis and whomever is going to be in the slot this week... open up running lanes as well...
if Mims performs well not just catching the ball but making the defense respect him on the field and not double the other guys then his presence moving forward while taking pressure off our horrid OL...

personally, i hope they show him as much respect as our OC has...and why wouldn't they be completely disrespectful to attributes you wake up with and are not coached...6'3', 215lb, and blazing speed. Our OC cannot find ways to get him the ball so why would they pay attention to him?
"BUT" if they are disrespectful to him, they do so at their own peril, because of the very attributes aforementioned.
wanna see Cory open more? start the game by not paying attention to Mims; that'll change fast!!
