After following the Jets for all these years, you KNOW what is going to happen. I allowed myself a bit of optimism at 16-0 but when the Bills got their first TD I said '17-16 Bills, boooring'. I'm not going to get too down on Darnold because it isn't normal for a QB to drop back with a horseshoe of DLs around him. I suppose in fairness Gase and Douglas must be allowed a full close-season in control before we judge them. Can't wait for Toilet Bowl 1 & 2 between the Jets and Dolphins.

Darnold. seems like a nice kid. Sorry, but I haven't seen anything from him to make me believe he's taking us to a Super Bowl . sorry. And yes, I understand he is running for his life every play. blindsideD'brick would argue somehow, that he isn't, but watch the games. sam is running for his life more often then not. brick argued with me relentlessly that our line was average or better and that the cheatahs line has been average at best for the past 20 years. yeah, it's only the first game. shouldn't give up already. Ok so the way the Jets played today, I must admit I might have drunk the kool aide a little to much. 10 wins might be a stretch I must admit!

1. Secondary sucked as bad as I knew it would.
2. What I didn’t know is that we would struggle getting to the QB that much. Q. Williams has got to be on the field a lot more. Defense started out well but fizzled out in the second half quickly. Especially after the Mosely injury.
3. We have NO kicker. PERIOD!
4. Oline isn’t much better then it was last year.
5. We have no WR other then Crowder and he is our spot guy.
6. Lev Bell is the truth but behind that oline and no real WRs, other than Crowder and Herndon (when he returns) to help him, he will not produce the way we thought.
7. Darnold looked pedestrian today and if that doesn’t improve, our year will be a lot worse then an 7 or 8 game season.
9. Adam Gase the offensive guru has to do better than that. Play calling sucked all damn day.
10. Gregg Williams the defensive guru has to do better than that. He’s gotta get to the QB faster all game to cover up for that sorry ass secondary.

Last but not least Douglas better get some better players in here quick or this will be the long season that most thought it would be. Is it possible to turn this all around I don’t know but WOW is all I can say. Our only saving grace is that the Browns looked and got beat worse then what we did. Hopefully that continues next week and can get a win Monday night.

didn't think of that. normally my favorite part of the Jets game is the postgame on SNY where Ray Lucas is as disgusted as me.(heck, it's the only good part of most Jets games)

What did we learn today? Well, I learned that a new word should be accepted by the Websters dictionary. SAMEOLDJETS. Definition: same old jets, playing like a jet, to underachieve, to just plain be bad at your job in the most amazing ways, to let down your fans

I watch the Jets and I really feel like I watch a bad movie that is remade with a different director (coach) and different actors (players) every couple of years. Honestly how is this different than 2009 Jets...A defense that attacks but fades away...an offense which cant get started, a special teams unit that cant kick is the only new plot line.

usually after a loss you can think, maybe next week will make up for it, but even if we miraculously win next week, no way in hell this team beats the cowboys Eagles or cheatahs so if we beat the Browns we are a whopping 1-5. Yahoo!

Basically here is my list of major fails today:
1. Our oline stinks and it is terrible from the center to the left tackle.
2. Our electric offense short circuited - and why in the hell are we not playing no huddle and shotgun more in the first half.
3. Our kicker is not on this team
4. Our defense cannot function without Mosely
5. Robby Anderson still cannot catch a ball and we have no #1 WR
6. Daryl Robertson is not a #2 CB
7. Gase must be using his crazy eyes when communicating with Darnold
