Alex thrives on the medium passing game, using linebackers in the rush plaids into his strength.The one thing about Smith is, he's not as mobile as what the Jets faced in Buffalo. He leans more toward Dalton in the pocket, though he's probably somewhere in between Dalton and Taylor.
Get to him early, don't let him escape the pocket, and he will find his struggles. Now, he may burn the secondary a few times (something we've already seen too much). But he absolutely can be contained.
Darron Lee using range in the middle and getting pressure on 3 and 4 man rushes, may take away his panic throw.
I'm interested to see how we defend him.
