It's an organizational mistake that Geno, who has lost the confidence of everyone, is kept around because he's the backup they trust. Bowles is a part of that, no doubt. I'd rather see a young QB with a future in the organization get the snaps when Fitz has a meltdown.

The worst thing about what happened today ...

This was the kind of debacle that reminds a journeyman QB that he's a journeyman QB, and don't you forget it!

Fitz was naturally feeling good about himself coming off a career year, but this game reminded him who and what he is.

I hope that doesn't haunt him next week and beyond, but it might.

Well, at least he won't have to worry about his stats this year, and can just focus on playing football. His stats are shot to hell.

Fitz had a bad season today.

Let me make sure clarify my laughter and happiness here. I'm not laughing because the team lost, I love the Jets and root for them as insanely as any Jets fan. I'm not happy because Fitz had a horrible game and proved me right. You see my LOL remarks in my post because this is how I deal with the frustrations of this shit. I don't even really get that upset anymore because I knew there would be games like this and I know our season will end without a SB. Now if I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it and give Fitz his props but until he proves me wrong, it is what it is. This man has been a six team journeymen for a reason. No matter if he had a good, average, great or horrible season, five other teams has cut or traded Fitz. Doesn't that tell you guys something? I'm not going to allow the wool to be pulled over my head and suffocate me until I can't breath with Fitz. Until and if he proves me wrong, he will be an average QB at best that can't and won't lead this team past the first round in the playoffs. If we even make the playoffs because keep in mind, Fitz has NEVER been there!

I feel and have felt the same way. I would rather lose every game with Petty than overpay an average low ceiling QB again.

He had a terrible game. He had 15 pretty good games last year and one stinker. He's played three games this season, had an OK game, and career best game, and a career worst game.

Doesn't sound like an easy definition to me.

Thank you, I'm right there with you brother. Let's not also forget the Jets could have drafted Dak Prescott who you gotta figure if they did, he would be playing for us right now.

Well I thought I was reliving the Rex years again...I mean how many days did they have to prepare and they came out - just like Ryan's' teams unmotivated and flat.

The coach needs to take the hit for this debacle and I hope the NY media roasts his ass.

An optimist might look at it that way, but a pessimist would tell you he's been bad in three of the last four games he has played and atrocious in two of them, today and the last game he played last year with a trip to the playoffs on the line, thats really where the wheels started coming off. Maybe he turns it around and last week becomes the norm, but over his last four games he is trending in the wrong direction, culminating with todays debacle.

I hope all you guys are watching the Cowboys vs. Bears game right now. Just to see what we could have had, if the Jets were smart. I won't be unrealistic and mention Wentz or even Lynch because they are first and second rounder's. Dak was a forth and was well within our reach of drafting and we didn't. Yes we can go back to the Marino-O'Brien draft or any other draft the Jets didn't draft a QB or some other position that we missed out on a clutch to HOF player. Yes we can do that but let's just stick with the most recent draft, last year and we could have this young and upcoming star playing for us right now. If you want to just say shut up and lets root for the players we do have then that's fine, let's do that. What about Petty, he looked pretty good in pre-season and probably would do no worse then Fitz would do for us, so why not?

FYI: With Dak, Elliot and Dez they will probably win 3-4 more SB in the future. They have the next big three!
