True. I guess I was speaking in general terms, i.e. when Petty is fully healthy, not specifically for the Seattle game. I think he is getting close, but I just don't believe he will jump over Smith as the number 2 QB without us having to watch some Geno if Fitz self-destructs.

JETS VS SEAHAWKS always causes trouble for me over here on WC. The Wife & her whole family are Seahawks fans since they are closest team to Alaska & I'm an Jets/Mets fan from there. But I got my Wife saying she is rooting for our JETS today even against her Seahawks! She does root for our Jets unless its against her team, but not this year. So LETS GO JETS! I can't believe I'm in 1st place without Bell and with Palmer playing like Fitz again. And I have Edelman getting his butt buddy back next week.

Absolutely!
If Fitz unravels and totally loses it (which I still doubt) or gets injured, I don't want any Geno Smith sighting whatsoever. It would be really nice to see if Petty has made enough progress to be the QB for us. Getting young(er) is important, and so far I like how that's going with the linebackers where David Harris is really the only veteran at this point.

I know Geno seems to have been here forever, but he is only 6 mos. older than Petty. I'm still kinda curious about Smith, particularly after reading the Article posted on the other thread.

I am a lot more cynical when it comes to Geno. For me, he demonstrates a combination of the really bad traits for a QB: he isn't very smart, he can't read a defense and he doesn't know how to avoid bad turnovers.
Regardless, I truly hope Fitz has a great game today...

The key is to keep the energy up early on. If our D shows up they prove it early. My guess is the crowd gets the Jets going early and we win a close game.
