Week 5 Game Thread: New York Jets @ Pittsburgh Steelers

If the Jets players feel the same way about themselves as I do about the team then we are screwed! Lets hope they have some pride and a shred of confidence left.

After watching what Pittsburgh did to the Chiefs, I'm not feeling too confident about this matchup. In Pittsburgh, too.
But you never know. Nobody thought the Bills would beat AZ and then NE. Anything can happen.

If Robby Anderson comes into this game with his head on, he can torch this defense vertically... Attacking over the middle is key with Q and newly acquired Jenkins... Utilizing both Powell & Forte out of the backfield not as last resort passing options will keep the Steelers at bay...
We need to play a trap game on Antonio Brown, basically a single high safety won't do it... Need to press bump him off the line, have a safety play quarters while having a corner over the top... It won't stop him but could slow him down a bit and that is all we need...
If our defense can force Big Ben to step up into the pocket then we can disrupt his quick release that he has improved this year... As for Bell, well setting the edge is key against him and I think we have the right personnel this year to do it...
So it isn't impossible they just need to execute on every level...
I don't expect Darrelle Revis to be active for this game, limited at best...

As a Jet Fan since the age of 10, I have always hated when we're on a roll, and then we face a team that has been crapping the bed...for what ever reason, it just seems they use that game against the Jets to right the ship.
Wouldn't it just be incredible to see us do that? Go gangbusters against the big bad black & gold. Everyone comes together, everything starts clicking, and the whole team looking like they love playing together...setting up an improbable SB run?

Sounds like 1998.... though I think we were 1-2 or 2-3 at the start of that season
Maybe because its game day...but i STRONGLY believe we win this today.

I agree, that's why you play the game. I'm watching football games for 40 years and have seen many unbelievable turn arounds. All it takes is for a team to under estimate a team and that team plays at a high level, the bounce of the ball etc. It happens every week. Pittsburg players can get injured just like ours. Let's watch the game .
I think I'm going to get to take a 3 hour nap today.
I guess Marshall should go ahead and give his keys to his Porsche to Brown to save some time. That bet is over already.
