Jets only + 2 1/2 at home vs an atrocious defense so there that also

Definitely not happy with the progress of the team, but not from this year alone. For last 15 years, it's been the same thing. This years team is no different than last years. Saleh sucked and then Brick sucked worse. The Jets downgraded at QB, but would still be 0-4 this year because the defense is one of the worst in the league. Overpaying Sauce was the beginning of the end for that defense. Hiring Steve Wilks was a terrible hire. He is the Adam Gase of defense. I don't have a problem with them going after Fields. I just wouldn't have paid him $40M. He is a league minimum QB based on his play for 4 years. The draft was Idzik level bad. The FA spending was perfect if you want to tank. Being undisciplined has been a trait of this organization for 15 years.

BTW, I was on record that we should have gone after Sean Payton. He would have been the only experienced, quality HC that might have gone to the Jets because he had connections in NY. No HC with experience would want to coach the Jets. Just enjoy the tank, but we all know they will win 2-3 meaningless games that ruin the race to the bottom. I don't care what they do this year. Actually I don't care what they do until they start winning.

What was wrong with drafting Membou and Mason Taylor? The CB Thomas might turn out OK and Mauigoa is starting (admittedly due to injuries). Malachi Moore is supposed to be better than the two safeties who are starting. Arian Smith hasn't been used properly yet. Anyhow, isn't this supposed to be the thread where we discuss the infinitely more interesting non-Jets games?
