he only played well because the game plan was set up for Geno... run the ball, use the backs... they didn't change things up and took the ball really out of his hands which he doesn't like... he wants to throw 1000 times a game, even if he throws 999 picks in one game to him its okay even tho it hurts the team...
I was out of town yesterday and didn't watch the game. I won't watch another game until Petty is the starter.
Well why wasn't this douche angry when he threw 6 INT's. All he can do for the Jets is ruin their next draft.
$12 M reasons... Named starter, felt no matter how he plays he will continue to be the guy...
Then quite honestly, thats how the game plan should be handled.

Plus, i saw something that i havent seen in a while (besides them winning). There was an attitude with Fitz playing yesterday. He played with alot of fire within himself. Sure, maybe he sholuld have not stated those words at the post game, but the guy is transparent.
Going to be interesting if Geno is healthy on whom they choose to be the starter vs Cleveland.
Just my opinion.
I feel like there are players who feel untouchable. They feel they can do anything without being punished. That fire to prove everyone wrong is gone out the window.
Though when that immunity gets yanked from right under them... Then and only then will certain athletes want to reclaim what was theirs in the first place.
This team has been said to have "NO Life" in them these past 4 weeks before the Baltimore game.
I kind of like it that Fitz is stirring the pot right now. Get some emotion going back into that locker room. Hell, it did give us a win right? 3 more of those and we'll be at .500 at the bye.
I don't want to win if Fitz is the QB. Petty or not interested.
Hear me out for a sec. I completely respect you if you disagree.
The season may be setting everything up for an amazing platform for Petty to come in and make this a very '02 esque campaign.
The locker room loves the leadership that Fitz brings. Regardless of what we all think of Ryan right now. Whats within those walls at Florham is more important than anything. There is finally a fire within Fitz that can actually allow this team to get on a hot streak.
Keep in mind that Ryan will be on a very short leash if he does indeed start turning the ball over. It's evident that Bowles will not accept this any longer. Especially that at this moment in time, the true heirs to the signal callers are backing Fitz, not Geno any longer.
I believe we will see Petty very soon. Though to make it that much more interesting, the Jets will still be in the thick of things when he does finally go behind Center.

Chad Pennington never brought us to glory. The success that him and the team experienced was very short lived.........
2002 was one of the best stories of our history. No one gave us a shot to come back from 2-5. Just like now.
2002...2004 and 2006 were very special. It all started by a QB being groomed the right way.
My problem is Fitz will beat up and waste our time beating the shit teams. When it matters or vs good teams he will shit the bed like he has done throughout his career. I don't dislike Fitz. I just think he is barely average. Why waste our time in a lost season on him. At best 9-7 for this team with Fitz if he plays perfect. That's a waste of a season in my book.

Did we win the SN in ANY of those years you speak of? If we had, that would be a great story. What you're talking about are simple spikes in play. There was NOTHING that was not eventually figured out and in short order. Remember Penny in Oakland that season in the playoffs?

I agree completely. But why are you not assigning in all areas it should be assigned? Who wanted Fitz? Who said to the press that Fitz would be the starter when/if he resigns? Who is completely outclassed game in and game out? Who cannot make in game adjustments?
My point is, this isn't just about Fitz. There is Fitz AND there is who I am talking about. And really, all of this debacle should be placed on the CS. They picked the players, they set up the team, they call the plays, they attempt to motivate the players and so on and so forth........
Your not gonna tell me you didnt enjoy the ride though? Those are the moments that as a fan you relish the most. Against all odds, coming out of no where and showcasing that your team did very well whle others had the team as an after thought.
Of course hind sight 20/20, we didn't win the big one. Though having a competitive team outweighs being a fan such as the Cleveland Browns. WHich has absolutley nothing to be proud of.
Honestly, ask yourself a question:
Say fitz gets us to 5-5. Come back from the bye and Ryan plays horrible in the 1st quarter vs the Pats and Bryce comes in and wins the game. Wouldn't that be something to entice you that much more to watch the team you adore?
It was the same in '02. You know why Herm replaced Vinny with Chad. It gave our franchise hope. Ditto can occur this season when the right time presents itself.
This is why i dont understand why so many want to relace Fitz NOW. If Bowles isn't ready to make the switch, then Bryce shouldn't be had at the expense of his learning curve just to apease the fans. The right time will come.
