ASJ is back, lets use him.
If he truly is back, then i feel with the additions of CJ Spiller and Devin Smith possibly being activated from the PUP later today will bring interesting dimensions to this team that can bring this offense into an excellent position to score big and move the ball with precision.
Yes i know i know, many cant stand Fitz. Though the more he wins, the more he holds down the fort until the coaching staff believes Bryce or Hackenberg are ready to take the reigns.
Make no mistake, i believe this regime wants to run with one of the young guns already. Though both Bowles and Gailey expressed to Rich Gannon (and he said it on air during last weeks game) that Petty is still not fully there to lead the team.
We shall see what transpires in the next weeks. I'd rather Fitz pull out these two wins. get us to 5-5. Head into the bye with yet another week for Christian and Bryce to get even more reps under their belt, so that when we come back and play the Pats, if Ryan doesn't play well, Bowles will finally make the switch the week after and the season would be still pretty much alive at 5-6.
We've reached the point of this disappointing season where fans resort to extremes in evaluating players and coaches.
Revis has nothing left. Fitzpatrick is the worst QB. Bowles should be fired, ect. Rather than looking at the entirety of the situation, it's easier to just slam individuals. There are many things you can point to in addressing the team's struggles. Things like the entire secondary looking lost and out of position at times, things like Gailey inexplicably abandoning the run game early, and thinking that Fitzpatrick can throw the ball 40-45 times a game to victory, things like coming out with arguably the toughest stretch of football to start the season of any team.
Thinking that Revis or Fitzpatrick is the main source of the problem is shortsighted, IMO.
Fitz has the same shortcomings he has always had,physically. He has improved mentally, and is playing a similar game to last year. So what's changed? His surrounding cast is vastly less talented due to injuries and increased rookies pushed onto the field. Couple that with defenses now having a full year to learn our offense and game plan against us.
Revis is done as a shutdown corner. He's worse this year than Cromartie was last year. He's now insinuating he's hurt and out of shape. So get better, you're making 17 million to shut down the opponents best receiver, we're in a bad season, take 2 weeks off or get surgery. Part of justifying his salary was how great he prepares, like the manning of the defense, and elevating youngsters around him. He needs to get right,or we have to adapt to the reality of his declining physical ability.

What happens when we get to 5-5?? I know what happens...The Pats beat us by 30. I'm ok if Petty or Hack gets us a meaningless win, but not if this worthless QB does.

And rightly so... TB is a bad coach, the team is unprepared in almost every game, they play with NO emotion and there is no accountability. The sheer fact that they continue to play revis like he is the 2009 version is proof enough. The fact that this team plays better D when in 3-4 is proof enough yet we still play 4-3 why?
For all those that continue to say Fitz is a smart QB its BS... he is not. he has a pop gun arm and a gunslinger's mentality which is why he leads the league in ints and is at the bottom QBR. Hw throws in to double coverage all the time and miss wide open receivers because he doesn't read D well... he get to the line and makes a decision and come hell or high water he go there,...rather then scanning the PF....
I posted above if this team comes out flat, I will draft a letter to Woody and will invite anyone to add their comments. I sick to death of watching a mummy on the sidelines that makes no adjustments instills NO accountability and has coaches that seem to be clueless as him.... Fhim...
All meaningless with Fitz at QB.
