Absolutely fantastic!!! Now Joe, you and Gase put your heads together and please get us a starting cornerback or two. T. Johnson has been a major disappointment IMO and I don’t think we can count on him. Also some depth on the oline and a WR that can either be our bonafide #1 guy or at least truly help in being a four headed monster with Enunwa, Anderson and Crowder.

Really like the hire a lot. This guy has a great reputation in the league. Rumors that Phil Savage and Todd McShay are being seriously considered for roles with the front office. Like McShay a lot. His analysis on players is usually quite good. Savage has some great experience and we would be a good hire as well as an experienced administrator.

Can you guys believed we filled our holes at GM and center with one guy?

As for the additions, McShay sounds like it is pretty much done. Not sure about Savage, but the Jets could actually build a front office that's among the elites of the league.

Loved the hire even more after seeing the photos. If this guy is a yes man, I’d be shocked. He looks like he could squeeze Gase’s eyebrows off. I know that looks aren’t everything, but just compare the new GM with John Idzik. Are you kidding ? This is awesome! I also love the prospective hires. If I remember correctly, the Jets were interested in Savage when they hired Tannenbaum, but he either would’t or couldn’t be interviewed . Love McShay also. I wonder what grade the ESPN writer would give now to the Jets off season. Don’t remember the writer, but ye gave us a D minus. The timing of Mac’s firing was ridiculous. No way Douglas would have failed to address the cornerback problem or center or special teams. But at least we seem to have made a huge jump. Just compare the Mac-Bowles tandem with Douglas—Gase. What a difference! Let’s not forget the difference thar Greg Williams is also making. Gentlemen, we have a solid, professional organization! Still wish we had the traditional hierarchical structure, but at least we have real football people in place.
