Wait a second...is this from the same guy who BLASTED the front office for using all those picks on DL?

Did I blast the pick or the impact of the pick? I compared the guy to Reggie White in his draft thread...at the time, you may remember, I wasnt enthusiastic about losing Richardson or Wilkerson because we took Williams. Fastfoward to today...I no longer care if we lose Richardson. My feelings about keeping Richardson and Wilkerson together has changed. I still hope we keep Wilkerson, Williams, and richardson together forever (their careers), but Richardson's deal will need to be jet friendly, or he can walk onto the Bills after his franchise tag year.

I believe you repeatedly mocked the Jets' front office for taking defensive linemen in the first round.

Saying anything else is complete revisionism.

Do you really think he is? That doesnt sound like him. I think that is a huge assumption.

I don't know for sure. He doesn't seem that way, but I sense he's also frustrated, and he must recognize that getting legitimately injured right now could cost him a lot of money.

Taking Williams was a great pick even before the Wilkerson injury, or the Richardson bust. In the top 10 you don't take players based on need, and pass on a potential pro bowler. That's how teams get mired in 8-8 type rosters for decades. Get your "need" players in FA.

If a major, long term impact player is available, you take him even if you are deep at the position unless some one gives a stupid amount of draft picks to move up

As we are seeing now, just because a team is deep at a position in April, doesn't mean they will still be deep there in September.

It's also interesting to note how often these guys that don't show up to OTA's ect, often wind up with nagging injuries all season,or on IR.

Also, last statement is silly. You can't answer that without knowing what they Become. If Williams is Shaun Ellis 2.0 is it nice we have him due to all the injuries/suspensions? Sure. If white turns into Calvin johnson, was Shaun Ellis 2.0 worth passing up on Calvin johnson? Hell no. Silly comment.

How many playoff games have the Lions won with Calvin?? At least the Jets won some with Ellis..:D
