But not lt Becton will have his opponents for lunchDefinitely O line. Too many guys who are injury prone, returning from injuries, or both. Hard to form a solid unit with an ever-changing cast.

If Rodgers goes down then the season is already over, nothing to do with Wilson coming in.I guess I'm choosing QB2. What happens if Zach has to come in? Hopefully he will no longer be shell shocked.
Becton might have to eat them because he apparently can't stop them by blocking at the moment. But not lt Becton will have his opponents for lunch
Think Sherwood is going to replace Alexander. Hard to predict his play due to such small sample size, but he was effective in limited actionI'm not as concerned about LB...they let Kwon walk after all. I wouldn't be surprised if McDonald sees time at LB....I'm basing my opinion solely on the fact that McDonald is light for the d-line.
Dare I say it....Becton might have to eat them because he apparently can't stop them by blocking at the moment.

Not if he's playing LT.Dare I say it....
Becton looks to have lost too much weight and is getting pushed around.![]()
That's where he has been struggling with his new physique. May have lost a little strength with the large amount of weight loss. Now having knee issues which are not related to his current size. Not if he's playing LT.
I guess by saying this I'm being Monday morning qb. But barring injury to Brown, I don't think Becton has any chance at becoming this starting LT out of camp.we have talent on the offensive line but there are uncertainties on who is the likely starters.
word is Becton could be on the trade block but do not believe that, Brown does not play anything but left tackle.
If Becton wins the left tackle job do we trade Brown, Cajuste is our swing tackle
Does Mighty Max Mitchell win the Right Tackle job?
Tipp has to win the starting Center job
My concern is LG I am not sure Laken is the right man for the job.
I prefer AVT at LG but likely he is the RG
It depends how long he's down for and if anyone else is injured. If Rodgers misses 2-3 games and there aren't any other significant injuries, then the Jets are still a playoff team.If Rodgers goes down then the season is already over, nothing to do with Wilson coming in.
I have a feeling if he plays well this preseason he will be immediately traded before the season starts.Becton most likely has played His last down as a Jet. His inability to accept a secondary role will be His undoing. It's a shame, because if He could accept that role He would have a spot for the foreseeable future.
It is how you present it. Tell him he can be a swing guard & that he will be "sandwiched" in between the center & tackle.Becton most likely has played His last down as a Jet. His inability to accept a secondary role will be His undoing. It's a shame, because if He could accept that role He would have a spot for the foreseeable future.
Reminds me of the 60's lolMy thoughts on the situation are, the first injury was a freak injury (having someone roll up on your leg is going to wipeout anyone). His second injury seems to be a rush to get him back on the field and reinjuring the same leg.
So I'm not one to judge a player for things outside of his control. He showed great promise as a rookie (and he is clearly talented and has size you can't teach). Whether the team mishandled his recovery or his weight/size contributed to it, we will never really know. If he wants to be here and is healthy, we should give him a shot. If he doesn't work out, then trade him or let him walk, but don't hold him back or treat him like a red headed step child because you don't like what he said.
I don't see a disgruntled player in Becton. I see someone who is upset with how things went down, but is still giving max effort to get back on the field. Dude hasn't asked for a trade, he's asked for an opportunity. We can't have a Front Office that is so thin skinned that they get butt hurt the second a player says something.
Fail/Succeed, let it be on the player
why should we be worried...give me one good reason,,,,,this is the JetsSo nobody's worried about WR2...now that Wilson got injured?
Not yet. I think Wilson's injury is a minor sprain and he is going to be fine. Lazard/Hardman/Cobb/Davis should be able to hold down the fort and give A-Rod plenty of targets and security blanket if Wilson needs some time.So nobody's worried about WR2...now that Wilson got injured?
