I think he’s going to be a shell of what he was next year and it will force the Jets into a tough decision in the 3rd year of his contract. If he heals up right and has no setbacks next season, he will probably be back to where he was prior injury . Trouble is his cap hit then might be an issue based on his performance next season.
surgery went well
he post op reports everything looks good
from what I hear he is in the light rehab phase means he is 20%
could he be ready for off season workouts, no
can he be ready for training camp heading into preseason 50/50
they are worried if he pushes well you get it
from what I hear still on the table he starts the year on the PUP List
he seems like a man on a mission... from the day he inked with us.
my expectations are that he dominates his rehab schedule once he hits a certain point of tendon flexibility.
** once the tendon flexible, he flips a switch and is back faster than anyone thought possible/probable.
They don't have to cut him, cap money isn't a crucial limit for this team.
But I won't believe he'll play until I see it. What ever he provides is gravy, especially if he can mentor a talented, but raw, edge draftee like Thibodeaux.
