What are your honest expectations for this season?

IMO national expectations for this years Jets are the highest they have ever been .
This has been a rare off season. Fans are bickering over Sauce vs Gravy instead of if the season is over in September or earlier....
What are your expectations for this year?
What would you consider a successful season.

13-4 is what I'm hoping for.
11-6 probably what will happen.
To me it's Super Bowl or bust. I expect bust, but hopefully they make the run needed late in the season. Unless the team completely flops, I think this will be a fun ride. Let's see how this team responds to adversity.

My concern with the defense is they played a lot of bad QB's or backups most of the season. Playing top QB's will tell us where this defense really is.

It's been a while since I felt this much anticipation and excitement going into September. There isn't a whole lot weaknesses on this team and finally there is depth. But we all are aware that injuries are a part of the game and that's all I'm going to mention about that. My key to this season is how well the offense is ready at the start. You know starters won't get a lot of Ops in preseason. So how many games will it take to get everyone in sync in a new system? I'll have a better feel come October. As for now, reaching the playoffs and winning at least one playoff game is acceptable. That's not on the list. Sorry. Just making the playoffs isn't enough.

I notice that the poll is different from the thread title. Having given away those draft picks they should at least reach the playoffs. My EXPECTATION is that something will go wrong and all the enthusiasm here will go the way it usually goes when the rubber meets the road.

Honestly I'm going into this Season like any other. Hoping for the best, Prepared for the worst.
After all, I'm a Jet Fan.
Don't get me wrong. I'm excited as Hell about the upcoming season. I can't wait until the Season starts. I haven't been this psyched for a Season in a while. Went down too. So I have no expectations. I’ll take beat the cheatahs twice as long as it includes them not going to the playoffs because of the 2 Jet losses

I remember it well too. The excitement and energy in the stadium just imploded. Non contact, all by himself crumpling like a rag doll. We all knew right away. Horrible memory.

I believe it is Super Bowl or bust. But that is for a three-year window. I honestly believe Rodgers stays three years. This season, they make the AFC title game. Next season is the key. I think they make a big run at loading up this roster even more and make a massive run.

So, for me, it's Super Bowl or bust, but that is for the 2023-2025 seasons. A conference title game this year gets them well on their way to accomplishing that.

Leaving for Disney Saturday. Remodeling my bath now. My plumber is on vacation. Had to have my hvac guy do the plumbing and pay twice as much. When we tested the drain it leaked. The tub is in an overhang over my front door. Luckily outside. I was walking in the door and a drip hit my shirt. Looked up and sure enough. Water dripping. Now I have to hope he stopped it or tear apart the outside overhang to make sure it’s fixed. Crap!

Disney tickets alone were 4k plus God knows how much I’ll spend down there on everything else. And Im Not rich, just stupid. And broke. I’m loaded with negativity

I’m with you here. But after watching the other assholes win 20 straight, I’m not happy unless we build a long lasting dynasty. Obviously I’d be ecstatic with a Super Bowl win, but after what we’ve had to watch for 20 years, I need more

We are planning a trip for Hunter for next April. He will be 12 at that point. We've been building up Disney dollars by running everything through the Disney Chase card for like a decade plus, and have the whole trip paid for. We have something like $11K in Disney money to spend.

Nice! We have the Disney card also. Usually good for a few hundred dollars a year.

if you’re a BJ’s member you can buy $500 Disney gift card for $480. Sometimes $475. I bought 8 then used them to buy the park tickets. Bought 2 more for spending money down there so saved a couple hundred bucks. Then we use our other chase card with cash back good for another 6 or 7 hundred bucks each year. Gotta save every penny you can down there

we’re Disney vacation club members so we spent some bucks years ago and still have $200 some odd dollars in dues a month so that pays for our room. We get suites. Separate master bedroom,bathroom, kitchen, living room with pullout couch and chair, washer dryer…. Very nice. Bought into that years ago and it’s been worth it if you want to stay in the more expensive places. Otherwise I’d be staying in the value resorts
