Never been to lambeau, or just never been there since they have had Favre & then Rodgers? Great place to see a game -- one of those bucket list items for all football fans.

I went last year to the Jets-Packers game -- my buddy and I met up with Eboozer32 and his friend. Did an impromptu tailgate -- great atmosphere outside the stadium and inside as well. The Packer fans are incredibly welcoming to opposing fans, they seem to take pride in how they treated other fans. Great afternoon all around (at least until the 2 minute warning in the first half).

If you can find a way to swing it while you still have Rodgers, I am sure you would have a blast.
We've been there a number of times since 2008, when we could afford it.
I'm just saddened that we never made it while Favre was still playing for GB.
All but 2 were preseason games using donated tickets from a friend I met in 2009, from Toronto, who has the Gold Package, (Milwaukee home game season ticket holders from way back when), but can't come all the way down for the preseason game included in that package.

Wife and I have attended a couple vs CLE games, a vs Indy game and a vs OAK game up there, but those were all preseason games.

#1 Son and I attended the infamous history making (0-16) season DET v GBP Week 17 game in 2008. Nice day for a game, about 25 degrees or so in the sun, considering it was late December.

#2 Son won tix by entering a contest and was tasked with running around the field flying the "G-Force" banner flag in Week 10, 2009, (DAL v GBP).
See photo for #30 Ahman Green jersey holding the flag on the field.

The bandana guy was his roomie and one of my renters in a duplex I own for the kids to live in.
As you can see by the last picture, the night ended with him in the gutter in MY #30 jersey.

Well, went to the flag football game Sunday.
I know it's not exactly Jets news but this thread seems to be got non-Jets stuff, so here goes.

All I can say is......
WOW!

Originally I thought the Packers sideline would be on the east side but in hindsight I should have known better & chosen seats on the west side of Camp Randall to avoid the blazing sun. It was pretty hot out there today, though thankfully not too humid, which Madison can be this time of year.
As it turned out however, that decision turned out to be the right one after all.

We can see Packers Legends in a lot of places and get their autographs on many occasions, but how often does one get to see a cast of Pro Bowl and All-Pro players the likes of which responded to the calls of the Legend this Sunday?

I swear to the gawds of football, Ed "Too Tall" Jones was so chiseled he looked like he could jump into a game today, and not even need pads - and he's about 20 years older than any of the other guys that were there.
No 64 year old man has ANY right to be that fit.

ESPN announcer Kenny Mayne jerseyed up for a series as the QB of the All-Stars team and I gotta say, he musta been a halfway decent QB in his youth. Man throws a decent spiral and has an arm.
Right before he started his series at QB, Mayne led his offensive players in a little "Kenny Mayne & the Imperials" not so choreographed Motown number, to the tune playing over the sound system in the stadium.
Good stuff Mayne, good stuff - it deserved the round of applause it got.
A LOT of those guys attempted passes today, (it was all in fun anyway), but retired RT Mark Tauscher missed his 2 point conversion attempt to Freeman.

I have seen every pass Favre ever threw to Antonio Freeman during their time together but it was still a thrill to see Favre throw one more TD to his former clutch "across the middle" receiver.
Both Rison & Freeman were having the time of their lives out there this afternoon.

Al "thugger" Harris did his thing, picking off McNabb. That gave #1 Son and me a hearty laugh.

FINAL SCORE
Legends: 38
All-Stars: 32
Favre 2 TDs: (Levens & Freeman-game winner)

A lot of photos taken at the event, but HYATT™ won't know the full extent of the haul for about a week yet.
2 rolls of 35mm have to go out for processing and an older woman who apparently used to be a photo-journalist, (in the 1930s I suspect, she was no spring shikken), is going to send me copies of her sets taken on 35mm as well, but with better zoom lenses than I came equipped with.
Also, still haven't seen #1 Son's celly snaps yet, but he says they weren't all that good.
Little does he know the magic HYATT™ can perform with photo editing software, They'll end up being pretty good by the time they are edited.
Eventually they'll go up and a linky to them will be provided here or in a new thread, for any interested parties to look at.
