When it comes to Bigmoe......ya Neva know.
We don't know shite. We all know that ain’t true but it’s hilarious nonetheless
We’ll see where this goes. Klubnik was a top rated QB coming out of high school and started for 3-4 years at Clemson. He just might be our diamond in the ruff. If all he is, is a good backup then that works for us as well but is that really what we what???I don't think we need Klubnik to be Mahomes. I still think the franchise's future #1 QB is in college for one more year. But if Klubnik is a solid backup who might back up that QB (and perhaps even draw interest from another team), that would be fine. Him becoming a legit starting QB would be amazing, but I'm not counting on it.
The pieces need to be in place for a new QB. The line, the weapons, the coaching, everything. We need stability and a system so that we're not throwing a drafted QB into a situation of change. The last QB to step into a good situation was Sanchez. Darnold was rushed into a situation with questions about the line and weapons. Wilson was overdrafted, and wasn't in a great spot. If GW and AD are legit #1 and #2 WRs, and Cooper emerges as a third receiving weapon, and the line continues to grow, a young QB can come in and succeed.
Now, what we really need is for the Colts to absolutely collapse, so their pick is very high in the first.
Right. We need the 1 or 2 pick again to get the qb that we don’t know but at the same time we need to win games to build confidence in the guys we have. These are not 2 things that can happen togetherStill want to know who this game-changing QB is who we're going to land next year. Anyone got a name? And how we stop the guy from going to the team with the #1 pick (assuming it isn't us).
That’s exactly my thoughts! Why bank on drafting a QB next year when we may possibly have the future QB already on the team.Still want to know who this game-changing QB is who we're going to land next year. Anyone got a name? And how we stop the guy from going to the team with the #1 pick (assuming it isn't us).
Nope! If Klubnik turns out to be our guy then why would they do that? Now of course I may be blowing this Klubnik thing way out of proportion but stranger things have happened.2 real Quarterbacks could be up for trade or want off their team next season.
Borrows and Lamar. Those teams might take our 3 1’s in trade. Maybe a little more
both will be 30 or 31next year I believe
I would hope the Jets will know that before this season is over with and they start preparing to draft one of these 4-6 supposedly all world college QBs that are coming out this year- Who’s names none of us knowNope! If Klubnik turns out to be our guy then why would they do that? Now of course I may be blowing this Klubnik thing way out of proportion but stranger things have happened.
It’s not like Klubnik was some 3-star high school recruit or walk on to Clemson who hardly got any playing time. He was big time in high school . Just like Lamar and Joe was and he successfully played a significant amount of snaps in college. Just like they did. So why can’t he be our answer?
Now if Klubnik turns to be nothing more than a decent backup, I would hope the Jets will know that before this season is over with and they start preparing to draft one of these 4-6 supposedly all world college QBs that are coming out this year.
Because that’s a fantasy dreamNope! If Klubnik turns out to be our guy
MAYBE but hopefully not!Because that’s a fantasy dream

Everyone has to answer that question for themselves but for me, it’s not what I want. If Klubnik turned out being our guy, the Jets won’t have to draft a QB for the next 15 years or so. Imagine that! The Jets can draft BPA or a specific need that’s not a QB. That’s where it’s at for me.
If it goes the way you’re thinking, the Jets are still in a good position because they got those three top draft picks. So they probably will land their QB next year. However; it’s pretty safe to believe that we’ll be starting all over at HC and the rest of a coaching staff.
That’s personal something I don’t want to deal with. Besides the main thing of not wanting the Jets to draft anymore QBs in the 1st or 2nd round and to have to hope and pray that they are the right guy. Klubnik so far is looking very good. Why not him???
Then you mention having a team around him that’s ready to go and support him. Like what Sanchez had. Looks like they are on they’re way there already! This team appears to be better than any of us thought they would be, especially me!
Playoff ready, I won’t go that far but fighting to the end ready in every game. I can see that, at least!
CK has been pretty damn impressive so far. Let’s see how he does against the Giants on Friday night. I’m assuming he’ll get significant playing time with nothing but back ups to the back ups to the back ups. Mostly players on the chopping block. It will be tuff sledding but it is what it is. He can only increase or decrease his stock. Either way, it’s all apart of the learning curve of the game. Let’s hope for the better!I'm in agreement with Sack and 82. Sack because of the analysis of a QB environment aside from Sanchez had Schotty as his OC, but otherwise, money!!!
82 because CK has the noted makings of a Diamond in the rough inside the environment Sack eloquently depicted.
In addition, CK has a stable of backs to take pressure off the passing game.
I think they have to look at Klubnik a little to help decide who to draft next year. Once they’re mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, he has to get a look. Bad thing is the rest of the team at that point may have quitWell if Geno can sustain that level of performance ALL season it would be hard for Klubnic to unseat Him. Based on what I've seen so far Klubnic looks to be a clipboard holder type for this Season.
Nothing wrong with giving Him time.
I don't have any confidence in Glenn but He does have a staff with experience now so hopefully it rubs off.
I would still be in the market for a QB come 2027 unless something Drastic happens.
Like Geno pulling a Darnold or Klubnic takes the reigns.
Just don't trade for JJ McCarthy.
The Jets are in a real awkward position, but they could be good at the same time. If Geno stays healthy the entire year and actually play above average, the Jets might actually be a potential playoff team. Or right there on the bubble.I think they have to look at Klubnik a little to help decide who to draft next year. Once they’re mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, he has to get a look. Bad thing is the rest of the team at that point may have quit
Geno needs to be good but not too good that Klubnik doesn’t get a look

Geno and/or Klubnik might surprise us all. Great thing here is Klubnik is a 4th round pick. So if he doesn’t pan out, it won’t hurt no where near as bad as Darnold, Wilson, Sanchez or even Geno.Well if Geno can sustain that level of performance ALL season it would be hard for Klubnic to unseat Him.
