actually who is next tree branch to shake loose?

from what I heard there is one more receiver move to make, could be a draft pick in the fourth round or free agent signing.

tight end room is locked down, this Elliot to join the Jets to me is just his wishes not the team interested but not worth the headache.

offensive line is almost revamped, sign or draft a center we have severely improved our depth and starter potential from last year.

my only qualm on offense is keeping ZW is deferential to the team long term, he came in with a big head and instead of correcting his game from day one they let him be himself and it blew up in their faces. Keeping him just brings a bad omen to the team overall moving forward. There are a couple teams that could pony up some capitol even if it is conditional picks moving forward, then the team can draft someone now to sit as backup and learn what to do and what not to do if AR is truly in the plans to don the Green & White colors.

Our defense is solid, a couple depth signings here and there or draft picks to bolster the depth but expect them to find another one or two rookie free agents to compete for roster spots this year.

aging kickers, at least we can trust them to drill it.

Ben Jones is first, I think. Then OBJ happens. Does that come with Davis being cut, or is he in a package for Rodgers? What happens with Lawson? I do think Cobb comes here on a dirt cheap deal. He was on a low contract last year. Zeke likely costs too much and ends up with the Eagles. Is there room to try to bring in Bakhtiari in a Rodgers deal, or a separate one?

I think Corey Davis would have to be a part of the Aaron Rodgers deal. But from what I heard that the Packers do not want him. Packers interested in AVT though. Reason why things being held up. JD looking at making the deal happen prior to the draft. Packers want two first round picks, JD does not want to give away a first this year but considering conditional 2024 that could be a first. Could see a player like Bryce Hall and Bryce Huff be included in the trade to sweeten the deal.

Expect by April 15th this trade to be finalized and which side is going to fold. AR stated he expects to be a Jet, and it is only a matter of time.

Ben Jones right now is 50/50.
John Michael Schmitz is a logical option he is an older prospect (24)

No Bakhtiari not an option with Brown here.
I do think bc Zeke has money coming in from that contract that he may take less, and to play with Rodgers to be that goal line RB. I dunno.

Lawson could restructure his contract. Cobb could be that last piece.

No way can AVT be included in any deal for a likely two-year QB.

With Davis, is there any contractual difference between whether he is cut or traded, in terms of cap hit? If not, and the Packers don't want him, wouldn't it make more sense to just cut him? Whether he's cut or traded, I think it's the same savings and the same $666,668 of dead money.

I like Schmitz, but I don't know if he makes it 10 picks into the second round. Jones, despite the injuries, might be the safer bet. I'd honestly love to do both and let Schmitz work his way into the position.

I'd trade Davis for a GOOD defensive tackle to replace Rankins or cut him and save, I believe, 10 mil. AND no 1st for Rogers.

I think it has to be part of the conversation until "if it happens" a deal is done. Right now, the Jets have backed themselves into a corner and have no other options out there (due to their own insistence of making this a Rodgers or bust campaign).

From a strategic standpoint, JD shit the bed here! He may have been forced into this position by Woodless, but if that's the case, we have a bigger problem with this franchise as it is being run by a clueless buffoon who is constantly in the way of advancement.

Surely shitting the bed would have been handing over whatever GB wanted for Rogers or rushing out and signing Jimmy G?

If you mean he should have gone for another QB, I'm still not sure how this is shitting the bed, but I'm glad we didn't go for Carr and even more so that Jimmy G is not going to be a Jet.

I do however agree that Woody has had his dumb fingers in the pie again.

The fact Rogers hasn't signed, surely shows that he is unwilling to hand out the 1st's that GB are rumoured to want, though as I said before they should be thankful somebody wants to help their cap problems out.

Shit the bed as in "there are no other options out there, hence the stalemate. It's take it or leave it on both sides, so now it's wait it out until someone finally gives".

There is no position of strength here, the Jets work it out, draft another QB or god forbid go into the season with Zach penciled in as the starter.

We allowed all other options to evaporate as we sat and waited on this as our ONLY option.

But if he did want Rogers then it doesn't matter that all the others have been signed, if Rogers does us over then it still isn't an error if you were led to believe the deal was on.

Carr and Jimmy G are hardly world-beaters at the end of the day and would have cost enough.

not a fan of signing Rogers myself, I'd rather keep going on the build a team to grow as a unit etc but who is out there to sign or draft in that role?

Hopefully, Rogers signs, stays two years and we will be clever enough to have a project QB ready to go after that, be that Wilson or another.

What position of strength are Green bay in?

They are on the hook for a shit load of wages, for a player who doesn't want to be there and they don't want there either, that is a far weaker starting point than Rogers being the only QB the Jets can sign.

It's all there for the drafting if the Jets can keep all their picks THIS year.
I don't think Skoronski will be there at 13 but one of the OSU guys or the kid from Georgia should be there.
Can they draft a LB'er here please? 2nd rd has some quality there. Be stupid to pass it up. I would love a FS here as well but that would depend on how the draft falls.

I like Tanner McKee but He has fallen in recent mocks and might be a Bargain in the 3rd. Perfect guy to sit behind AR for a Season or 2 IMO.

With all the compensatory picks from FA coming the Jets could have another stellar draft if JD plays His cards right. I like His chances based on past experiences.
