We know unless Petty is injured we won't see Hackenberg, so what is next? We head into the off season knowing one of our two backups isn't worthy to be a backup in this league... I do give a pass to Christian Hackenberg for this season, but this upcoming off season is pinnacle in either he is or isn't an NFL ready option at quarterback... We still need to draft someone, anyone with the first pick to third round even fourth if there is someone with potential...
the rest of the roster needs some real work, and I don't know if this regime is capable in one season to fill all the needs... $100 Million in cap space after they post June cut Muhammad Wilkerson... What stop gap players due they try to sign, do we dare retain most of our own free agents? Draft is deep with talent in our most needed positions of need but after QB what is the priority for this team... Maccagnan tries to find late round gem offensive linemen, as we seen in his first few years here... Will they dare attempt to draft the likes of Billy Price from OSU, do they take a chance on a Baker Mayfield even tho he is short? Would they dare go defensive linemen with the first pick or edge rusher? Could they trade down and stock pile or is that too much to ask this front office to accomplish?
