Some of your suggestions are confusing, you think Leonard Williams is safe because he took over Richardson position? He's safe because we just drafted him and he's signed for 5 years.

If we can get multiple high picks for Richardson, sure trade him. But it's not really in the cards. He's close to getting a year suspension if he smokes just one more time. Not many teams are going to trade away their future fir that. And he's the best lineman we have under a contract we can afford.

Richardson could be suspended again and mo has a broken leg, so they are both pretty unlikely trading pieces.

Trading stars in the nfl, isn't typical.

no for Todd Bowles defensive setup we don't need 4 starting defensive lineman... His defense needs coverage linebackers, and we just got rid of an athletic monster that was playing outside linebacker who was a defensive lineman in truth, Quinton Coples...

Just because Leonard Williams was drafted makes one of the other 3 starters not needed... Not because he is here for probably the next four years but because he actually has a role on the team... This year the Jets or Todd Bowles and Kacy Rodgers created a separate role for Sheldon Richardson called MPB7 ...

At the end of the day are they really going to keep this roster position/role in place probably not, just was done to get all four of these guys on the field at the same since we all know that Mauldin was ready to be that three down player (noted by the Head Coach)...

Richardson is going to be suspended next season for minimum of 2 games after his court appearance is over, a non drug offense...

Richardson played himself off this team... Is it fair, should we care, as for me out of the four he is the one to go... They simply cut 2 players for much worse then he did... Is it because he has a higher trade value, YES... Will they keep, it is a possibility but for me too much negative in a short period, that he needs to go... Todd Bowles sending mix messages if he keeps Sheldon on the team passed this off season after what he has done compared to others who were cut for way less...

I don't think he played his way off the team, but the same reasons we are upset with him, are why his trade value is decreased. My feeling is that he's great in a team setting, but hurts them when he's left to himself.
I feel like coples was different, he must have been a negative in the locker room. And if you aren't producing on the field and you're a downer off the field, you have zero value. Plus his dismissal had value in its message, if you ain't helping you're hurting. This isn't the post office where you collect a check until you retire.

There is a double standard with your stars, it's not a mixed message. Phil Sims screamed at parcels, and LT showed up high on every drug he could find.

This is one of those things, I believe, that we fans can't predict. It will come down to events behind closed doors, but I do now, trust the people making those decisions.

I believe the best approach would be to go after a few less than big name players. IMO, FA should be used for a LB and a FB. Go after the second tier names out there. FB IMO is a must. I can only imagine how good Chris Ivory could have been if the Jets had a decent lead blocker and a pass catching threat to pair with Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory out of the backfield.

LB is obvious. The wheel route killed us all season. IMO Demario Davis is done as a Jet. He's trade bait and so is Jeremy Kerley. Cro will get cut. The Jets will be able to open plenty of cap space to resign certain players , gather some extra draft picks, and go after one or two players IMO in FA.
