CC didn't win anything the word behind the scenes Martin should of won, but HC Bowles handed the job to CC on dumb reasoning(s)... stronger leg on kickoffs, how did that work out... critical field goals missed, are more important so Martin should be the front runner and just wondering if they are going to extend an offer to him in the next coming days...

As I recall he's on the small and light side compared to other kickers with a limited effective range. I could be wrong but I'm thinking he was initially a soccer player and he's about an 80% kicker.

I’ve seen him blow a couple of easy FG attempts. I think that’s why he’s available unfortunately.

We will. There’s usually a competition through TC and the preseason. Just like CC and Ross last year.

I’ve seen him blow a couple of easy FG attempts. I think that’s why he’s available unfortunately.

I predict that he will get beat out by almost any kicker they put against him. He can't make the long kicks. I think this was, and unnecessarily so, a desperation signing. There are several much better kickers available in free agency. So far I've been happy with their signings but this one is a bust. A good kicker is, FREQUENTLY, the difference between winning and losing. I sure hope they have a competition for the job because he has no leg. I think his longest ever was 45 yds.

Just read the stats: 84% overall on FG’s, 96% on PAT’s, and Cimini said his kickoffs are about league average. So he’s not exactly terrible...

Also, apparently he was dealing with a groin injury during some of his struggles. So there’s that.
