I agree and if he does he might as well burn the whole thing to the ground. The way Saleh is Talking Zach will be back this year. I will abstain until more info is provided.
pretty much..I agree and if he does he might as well burn the whole thing to the ground.
That makes me want to throw up. He couldn't beat out Darnold.Baker Mayfield
I wrote that just to see what you would say. Lol. Took you less then a minuteThat makes me want to throw up. He couldn't beat out Darnold.
I have no problem with Wilson being backup QB. But if they can 'get him right' off the field without any playing time why didn't they do it earlier? If you listen to Saleh, Wilson is still in the plans. It’s just a matter of when. They want him right before they activate him. I’d expect Wilson active in the next couple of weeks.

I honestly hope this is lip service to keep Wilson's hopes up. IMO there is absolutely nothing substantial he could have possibly learned take a couple of games off! He needs a clipboard and he needs work (both off the field and in practice). If you listen to Saleh, Wilson is still in the plans. It’s just a matter of when. They want him right before they activate him. I’d expect Wilson active in the next couple of weeks.
I know you are a huge Wilson supported and I try to be cognizant of that in any reply.I believe, again only speculating here, that they wanted him pulled all the way back. Remove him from the stage so to speak, and try a full reset. That means mentally and physically. The mechanics have been an issue so that obviously needs some tweaking. And then there’s the reality of a 23 year old kid from Utah getting sandblasted by the toughest sports media in the world, and a fan base not far behind. It’s not about being “fragile” like some people want to assume. Imagine being the #2 overall pick, on top of the world. Then having some struggles early, and having to deal with all of that? Sometimes you need to remove yourself from a situation entirely before walking back into it.
Fans sit on their sofas, smashing hot dogs and beers, and acting like they know “what’s up” all the time. Most of us don’t have any idea of how hard that situation is.

I wasn’t trying to compare a war veteran’s experience to Zach Wilson’s.35 mil contract

23 yr old in a hard situation?
That we don’t understand?
My gosh at 23 my dad was sleeping on the frozen ground in a pup tent in action in Korea for 18 months .
I would be afraid to ask him
“ Come on dad give Zach a break don’t you realize how hard your being on him “
I’m not disagreeing with you on most of this. The key part for me is the word “yet”. He’s not ready yet.I know you are a huge Wilson supported and I try to be cognizant of that in any reply.
Honestly, this isn't a fanbase getting after a stellar QB after a few bad games. This is almost 2 seasons of him continually making the same mistakes and quite frankly showing an incredible ability of NEVER being able to do the easy things right. He still cannot consistently make a sideline throw (I mean for gods sake, it's a freakn 7 - 12 yard throw!).
He just isn't ready. He has talent, but he's not ready to hold anyone's reins. We found a way to completely stifle him as a QB and found ways to win in-spite of him. That is not a recipe for success. We need to find ways to fix the problems and put a system around him that highlights his strengths.
By no means am I absolving LaFleur of any blame here, as he has not shown an ability to scheme for the talent that he has. Guys who fit the system excel, and those that don't (you just never see their talent on display).
So plenty of blame to go around, but IMO Wilson cannot be asked to carry the reins of the starting QB at this moment. He just isn't ready for it.
Just commenting on how tough poor Zach must have it .I wasn’t trying to compare a war veteran’s experience to Zach Wilson’s.
