The Key to a good Offense is Center and G on right and left. This keeps the pocket from collapsing on our QB and why Gase is worried because Mikey only over pays average Defensive Players and RB's. How about Darnold ? Reaching at bad snaps running because the middles of the pocket collapsed in front of him. Every GOOD QB has protection in the middle starting at Center pointing out Pass Rushers and protecting his QB. Most important position on the Offensive line. Not Mikey the Dart Board Drafting GM. Wonder if we will get the 3rd pick next year? No cap space either.

From what I understand he wasn't interested and if you read his latest comments the Panthers were the team he and his agent wanted. He wasn't coming here...

That was my thought because they certainly could have afforded him but I never heard the reason he didn't get signed.

Not true. We overpaid Winters, didn't we? High pick next year AND the 'BPA' will be a defender. Groundhog decade.

That was my thought because they certainly could have afforded him but I never heard the reason he didn't get signed.

Fans get themselves all worked up over a FA not being signed. “Why didn’t we sign Paradis?!?!” But they don’t know the details of exactly why it happened, and they point fingers at the GM as if his magic wand should’ve been waved.

It never occurs to some that Paradis wanted to be a Panther. Just like Barr, in his heart, wanted to be a Viking.

Adam Gase is confident in Jonotthan Harrison as our starter. He was quoted recently (SNY interview) as saying they are confident in his intelligence for the position and his lateral movement. Gase noted that they won’t be playing many 360 pound NT’s this year, requiring size for the position. Instead, Harrison provides athleticism and showed over eight starts that he is deserving of the job. (Paraphrasing Gase).

The Jets did, however, plan on taking Conor McGovern in the third round for depth but Dallas took him three spots ahead of them.

To me, John Sullivan seems like the ideal guy to bring in short-term. He's older, 33 - while across the board, I have wanted the team to go younger, I think a veteran C could help Darnold immensely. He's a local guy - Mt. Kisco and Greenwich. He just helped Goff get to the Super Bowl. At worst, he provides veteran depth if Harrison is not up for the job. At best, he's an upgrade and helps the whole line.
