I wasn't sure how much Reed might try to fleece a teammate.
he got his money and believe Sauce will go with No. 4 but G Dub will buy that No. 5 from Mike White. the real question is will JJ try to buy Mims No. 11? lmao but No. 55 is available? Breece would look swank in No. 20, hope Ruckert gets No. 88.

I could careless what numbers they get . What I want is a return on the investment. I want production. It’s time for the Jets to become relevant.

DJ... should get #1. to give it to any of the 3 #1's is playing favorites.

"The Big Apple" as in Sauce; Big Apple Sauce should wear #44... "Mr. February".

Garrett... #85. it's been a while since we have had a great one at WR to give us Wesley's magic.

Ruckert... B.O.B. - Be our Bavaro. Gotta be #89. Tougher than nails.

JJ2... #99.

It takes big balls to wear #1. It screams “look at me, look at me!” I don’t know, maybe I’m reading too much into it, but that number bugs me on a jersey.

I have long thought that words like "relevant" and "credible" can be harmful to the Jets. At times, Jets fans are so desperate to not be horrible that they put pressure on the front office to do a quick partial build, just to get out of being horrible. But I'd rather go with youth and be horrible for an extra year or two if it meant potential long-term gains, rather than the push to be relevant now.

There’s no reason why the Jets can’t improve their win total by 4-6 games. I keep hearing about how tough their schedule is but it’s really no different than most years. You play some good teams and some crap teams.

The offense looks complete to me. Obviously injuries are always the one thing that can affect that, but on paper Zach Wilson has everything he needs, and it’s year two in a Mike Lefleur system. Time to start scoring more TD’s.

The defense is more of a mystery. The upgrades in the secondary should be very obvious. The return of Lawson combined with Jermaine Johnson should improve the pass rush significantly. My only concern is whether or not the run defense improves.

I’m not interested in putting pressure on the front office, just the QB. This team has enough talent to scare defenses as long as the QB continues to progress and works within the framework of the scheme. Remember it was the defense that allowed the TomBrady led Bucs to comeback against us . Since then we’ve upgraded the OL, the RB room, the Receiver room and the TE room .
On defense we’ve upgraded the secondary at both CB and Safety . While the LBERs are still a bit of a wildcard, two of the potential starters will have had a year in the system and should better understand their roles. The front 4 is where I expect a difference . With supposedly JFM moving inside next to Q and Lawson hopefully coming back together with JJ and Martin we should be better able to control the LOS .

As I mentioned earlier, my interest is in putting pressure on the QB to improve upon his end of season play from last season. He do that and yes, I expect us to become relevant. Doesn’t mean we have to make the playoffs, but come December we might be making potential playoff teams worried about lining up against the Jets.

just the QB
nah.
we want to put the pressure on the players in general. we want them to either realize the better they are as a group the better they will become individually. some players already bought in to the self hype and never reach max potential. Zach so far this off season has made the effort to connect with his guys on and off the field, that is the important thing in his development.
