Why didn't Sam Darnold call a QB sneak on fourth-and-1 play that failed?

Not allowed, per Adam Gase. Why not? "That's my call," Gase said. With a gaping hole in the C/LG gap, Darnold would've made an easy first down. Gase said audibles are built into certain plays, but not that one. Darnold: "Adam said it best...I don't have the option to do that. We were worried about executing the play. If we execute the play call, we have a first down and no one would be talking about it."

Gase is just recapping the same misguided ways he did with Tannehill, then the organization will follow suit and trade Darnold for a 5th of nothing then realize Gase is not the right guy then fire him and we will be left with a hot bag of dog shit and Flacco as our starter for next season...

A year later next to no talent coming out of college we will be hoping to develop our 4th round QB from this year James Morgan to be the next Matt Moore another QB graced by the touch of Adam Gase...
