Why Jets took the plunge for a small-school RB

Having a return guy that can make impactful returns would certainly be a plus for this team unless they eliminate kick offs which is what they would like to do.

I like Jets 3 smaller RB's for speed to the outside & passes. But to wear down Defenses & keeping Defenses from bull rushing up the middle we need a BIG POWERFUL RB to run up the middle. Sorry ,but not one of Jets current RB's can handle pounding the ball up the middle for 4-5 yards gains. They all flop through the line for a yard. Fun to watch run, but not effective when we need serious 3rd yards. John Riggins was the man & Jets GM/Management farted out their brains and let him go to Skins!

Maybe the UFA D. Flowers FB can be that guy. Along with his exciting receiving skill set.
