Why thompkins???

Just saw the highlight again of Thompkins having the ball knocked out of his hands on the deep pass at the end of the game... So frustrating we can't have that #3 or #4 WR consistently make a play... I know his hands are suspect but he made the catch, secure the ball and he's in for the TD.....IT's just so frustrating to watch us being so close to making a huge play ito win the game in a game we did deserve to lose and have it knocked away so easily. :global (9)::global (7):

we have been searching for that # 3 wide out all season... Enunwa looked like he could be that guy, but wasn't consistent enough... Thompkins has some potential but like Enunwa not consistent enough...

we basically move Decker inside to be more of a # 3 receiver, we need another outside # 2 along side Marshall to allow Decker catch all those underneath passes and be a matchup nightmare...

have a whole off season for a bunch of what ifs, what could of been and how not to allow this type of season to happen again and build upon everything we accomplished this season...

Yup! Maybe we needed Devin Smith or Enunwa to catch that ball. Wait I got it, how bout a drafted Kevin White that the Jets should have drafted once again, instead of Williams. Nothing against Williams because I believe he will be a excellent player for us. Maybe even a HOFer but I think White would have been for us also and was a bigger need for us as we all saw. Yes, I know he got hurt before even catching a pre-season pass and it's stupid of me to think he wouldn't have gotten hurt with us but maybe he wouldn't have. White would have been a true #3 WR, maybe even a #2 with Decker at #3 but oh well. Can't or shouldn't cry over spilled milk, so let me stop before I start shredding tears here, LOL!

2. Baylor Corey Coleman Ranked Top 20
3. Ohio State Michael Thomas Ranked Top 25

Now only two of them are Chan Gailey type receivers but the connection between Bryce Petty and Corey Coleman could come into play...

His Punt Return ability alone would add to out offense... Field Position killed us today... Any decent Punt return could have made a difference in the 1st half but Fair Catch Kerely killed us

That was a walk-in TD if he secures the ball, because the defender completely sold out on that PD and there was nobody left to stop his stroll to the end-zone. I saw it immediately and commented in the game thread. Soon as he dropped it, I said that was a TD if he catches the ball.

4th round Devonte Fields DE/OLB from Louisville was tandem with our current rookie Lorenzo Mauldin -- would like him but he could climb the boards come draft day with a good combine and be out of our reach...

there are others that will be available and could be a few free agents that we may target...

as for RB in the 5th local prospect from Rutgers Paul James could be optimal leaving us with a 7th round to pick someone up like Safety from Penn State or another wide receiver like Quinshad Davis from North Carolina...

We didnt seem to mind it when Thompkins and Enunwa each made huge game winning catches and runs in clutch time during the 5 game win streak.

Maybe, just maybe Fitzpatrick threw that pass to Thompkins because he was open and Marshall and Decker weren't?

There were multiple posters who wanted White. Only player I wanted was Cooper and he would have put us over the top.
