Will Levis

Will Levis has been released .
Will the Jets put in a claim for him? My guess is they will. Only the Raiders have a higher waiver spot and with Cousins, Mendoza and O'Connell on their roster I don’t see them trying to claim him.
What are your thoughts?
Do they add Levis?
Will they go with just 2 QBs?
Will they look for a more experienced back up via trade like Mason Rudolph or Dalton?

He's a definite possibility. I believe they intend to add a 3rd QB. They will waive one of their lowliest back up players to create a spot for one on the roster.

Depends if Walker is genuinely injured. Two starting LBs and two backups is a bit thin.

nfl.com says Glenn has declared Klubnik to be QB2. In which case we are probably going with two QBs and need an experienced guy on the PS in case he has to be brought up rapidly. Martinez has been cut by the Niners and I thought he was better than Cook. I trust Klubnik to do spot duty if Geno is in the blue tent, provided the play calling is sensible. Long term starter is a little more questionable.

I wasn't aware of Walkers injury, been out of the loop for a while. Makes much more sense now.
Totally agree about the QB situation. Hopefully Geno stays healthy. If not Klubnik will be playing for his future. Succeed and he earns the future role. Fail and he secures draft position for his replacement. I'd like to see him succeed but I think he needs at least a season or two to develop.
