Winning teams (the Giants) win & losing teams (the jets) lose

Last year the giants had a pass D that was so bad...now they have a great D coming.

They drafted a CB that is already becoming a star in this league.....their old guy is DRC & he is playing well.

They are winning with a problem child on their team

They have a new coach

They picked the real winner from the Jets DL. (the man has heart...He also sent us a nice letter when he moved on)

They have key injuries They have a guy with three fingers & we can't get a finger on what is wrong with the Jets

They have no running game & a bad OL.

Their QB is not having a great year.

Losing teams lose folks we need to cross that line not just walk it

This again?

The Jets were 10-6 last season. And went to back to back AFC Championship games in 2009 and 2010. And if we want to go back a little further, also went to the AFC Championship game in Denver in 1998.

Granted, the Jets haven't been as successful as the Giants. But that hardly qualifies them as a "losing team".

SOJ mentality, butt fumble obsession, Just End The Season paper bags over the head... Jets fans never cease to amaze me.

So a team that goes 10-6 is a loser? That sounds like a winning record by four games. I can understand calling a team a loser that hasn't made the playoffs in like, 15-20 years. But your assessment is pretty brutal.

We are not a losing franchise, but it sure feels that way sometimes with the Patriots in the division. As long as we aren't the best team in our own division, it feels like we are stuck in mediocrity. We've ranged from bad to pretty good, but have never been great for the last 15 years at least, and before that, others can speak to whether we were or not, I wasn't really around. But man, what I wouldn't give for the kind of team that could win 13 or 14 or even 15 games. The team that is expected to win against any opponent. The team that is feared. I think that's what we're all really desperate for, so 10-6 seasons, while certainly good and fun, are just not sufficient to satisfy that urge to see a REALLY good team.

Not only the team but the fans.
To nites game they had 36,000 replies to the in game thread.
Crying about the refs and now the games are fixed.
I wonder if that shit was fixed when they won those lucky ass SB 's.
Wide right, helmet catch, drop by Welker. Tommy boy in the tank. That was all legit then?

I hate the giants fans! Someone just messaged me talming trash. I told them the Jets were unlucky and that's why we missed the playoffs last year. 10 wins usually gets you in..

The Jets are just a bad business.

Think of a restaurant with a mediocre head chef, dull menu, unpleasant décor and clumsy, inattentive wait staff. It would go out of business quickly wouldn't it? Now take make the restaurant biz into the NFL with revenue sharing and no possibility of new competition taking market share. That bad restaurant not only survives, but is profitable. No need to really change the menu or get a brilliant executive chef. It just goes on being a bad restaurant.

10-6 last year was an obvious anomaly. They played a very easy schedule but blew out no one.

Of course, the disaster of 2016 plus the good probability of years of continued ineptitude to come, it's easy to exude negativity, but face it, the Jets are the NFL's equivalent of the St. Louis Browns. One championship under extenuating circumstances. That's it.

After 52 years, if I could somehow get out of my PSL and into Giants season tix, I would switch without even thinking about it and willingly pay their PSL's because at least the tix would have some value.

I don't even give them the dignity of calling them by name. To me, they are "the team with which we share a stadium".
That comes from the early days of the Jets when THAT TEAM wouldn't include Jets scores in the out of town results during and after their games.

And what makes last night even better is my wife is an Eagles fan.(What can I say? She liked Randall Cunningham.):global (11):

You think that's bad, Mrs. Fud and I also discussed maybe cutting the numbers of games and switching to the Eagles or Pats as they are both a relatively short drive away. Conclusion was that the former doesn't work because it is, well, Philadelphia and the latter, although the better preference may be like switching to the '64 Yankees and before you know it, you have to watch Horace Clarke and Fred Talbot.

And can we just talk about the way that the David Tyree catch should have been called back on HOLDING? I hate the Pats but my goodness, they WERE the better team, and the penalties were pretty egregious. Hard to imagine a Jets player getting away with what they did there.
