He came out of nowhere to get our pick. I had absolutely no idea who Zach Wilson was. Probably many other Jet fans, too.We can’t even blame this on Zach to be honest. It’s not his fault he was drafted in the first round, let alone the #2 overall pick! He didn’t force them to do that. He should have been drafted in the 3rd to 4th round and the earliest. If this would have been the case, none of this would burn as much.
What is his fault is the fact that he can’t truly get any better with all the playing time he’s had over the past three years but maybe he was always meant to be nothing more than a back up. If that’s the case than he shouldn’t have been drafted until the 6th-7th round. That’s where most career back up guys are drafted.

How is it his fault that he can't get better? We have no evidence that he wants to fail. Truth is that he hasn't got it and this was evident when he was drafted. Perhaps he is a late developer, like Geno, but Geno was streets better at this point. We can’t even blame this on Zach to be honest. Bizarre that Siemian hasn't been given a start with which to fail and then Zach brought in off the bench. And where does Rypien fit here? It seems like there is a power struggle between those who want Zach to play at all costs and those who want to halt the death spiral, and the former faction have reseized control. This will certainly cost him the locker room. Once again the Jets are doing everything to suit their agenda, and try to deceive everyone that they are right (when the results show they can't be anymore wrong!!).
By not giving Siemian a change to work with the ones and start, they eliminate the argument rather than show the results. JD has to be pulling the damn strings here! Saleh can't possibly be this stupid (if he is really a football guy).
Count me in on this! I never heard of the dude and did not want him drafted at all!He came out of nowhere to get our pick. I had absolutely no idea who Zach Wilson was. Probably many other Jet fans, too.
Now it makes sense. JD is just about to start his 14 year plan to revamp the O Line. And then put all his energies into turning Zach into a functioning NFL QB. Took Geno 10 years. But JD figures Zach will need 16 to 18 seasons to shine. Can't wait!!How is it his fault that he can't get better? We have no evidence that he wants to fail. The first step is for somebody from the defense to break Zach's jaw. Form an orderly queue there! Now it makes sense. JD is just about to start his 14 year plan to revamp the O Line. No way the defenders forgot him throwing them under the bus last season. The first step is for somebody from the defense to break Zach's jaw. Form an orderly queue there!
He is still the same shitty QB. I think he just learned locker room politics and team chemistry tips from AR. Only difference IMO.Zach lost the locker room last year. Not sure how he could show his face again to those players, let alone be viewed as the team leader.
"After Sunday’s loss to the Patriots, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson acted his apparent age by declining to admit that his performance let down the defense, which held New England to just a field goal."
"And it wasn’t just the things Wilson said to reporters. Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports, citing unnamed sources inside the team’s locker room, that Wilson “was walking around after the game ‘like he isn’t the problem.’” Per Hughes, Wilson’s demeanor “rubbed more than a few the wrong way.”
I'm sure it's even more dire now. Putting a clueless dope like Zach back as a starter is another of the myriad Saleh dumb moves.

Zach Wilson's lack of accountability is becoming a problem
When an NFL quarterback looks like he's only 12 years old, it becomes critical that he not act like he's 12 years old, too.www.nbcsports.com
