It’s weird but his game tonight and Justin Fields game earlier were eerily similar. The officials kept Wilson from throwing that game ending INT that would have brought out the pitchforks
Lmao, I can hardly wait for Zach to leave Jets!!! Last night you seen how good Zach really is like I’ve said Drafting him. Jets screwed this kid over and Jets media and fans eating crow. 7 games in first season is what Jets fans give rookie Zach to be a superstar and carried on into 8 more games in 2 nd year still not playing one full season and switching coaches on him. It works out perfect for Zach in leaving Jets! Rogers plays next year and Zach contract is up and only way Zach stays is franchise tag and he will be done with Jets fans and media that trashed him after 7 games! No way a top QB in college will will accept playing for Jets after what Fans and Media has done to Zach. 7 games or get trashed? What QB in college would want to go to Jets? I know Zero! QB hold out if Jets takes a QB. Finally Jets drafted the right QB and fans and media trashed him after 7 games! For Zach I knew you were good while fans and media trashed you and said trade you to Raiders so they could be great again. It’s will be funny when Zach says no to being a Jet when contracts up!
Zach played well last night, he played the game manager that we were hoping for last season.
That being said, lets not go overboard with the praise. This is typical Zach! He gives you a game here/there where he plays well enough to look like he belongs. Then he goes out the next 4-5 games and reminds everyone why they wanted him gone to begin with. Give Hackett his due!!!! He put him back there and gave him 1-2 reads and DONE! Lets not sit here story telling that Zach lit the field up! He hit open receivers and did what he was supposed to do. The coaching staff put him in a good position to succeed and he executed the game plan well last night. These guys have been open all season, last night was the first time Zach could actually hit them.
Now if he can do this for 3-4-5 more games, then we are on to something, but until I see that, I'll chalk this up to another "occasional" Zach Wilson "keep you hopeful" performance.
And someone please explain to me why a grown ass man playing in professional sports needs to have the entire offense huddling around him, encouraging him like he's some 12 year old playing AAU football??? WTF is that all about? Is he really that immature and fragile that everyone needs to stay in his ear telling him how great he is???? So many red flags! So much evidence of what he really is!

Yeah, I thought the "pat on the back fest" was weird, too. I just hope they gave Zach a participation trophy before he left MetLife.
The Jets played decent. The thing that bugs me this morning is how this game is being portrayed by the NFL machine . Mahommes had his “c” game and the Jets still managed to lose .
Well I think our defense had something to do with that performance and the officiating had something to do with the outcome of that game.

He played decent and of that what he needs to keep his confidence up at this stage of his career then I have no problem with it .
NY is a tough atmosphere for some people to deal with. The fans and media can be brutal
I have a problem with a team that only has competition for 52 of the rosters spots and has the whole damn team carrying around pacifiers for the most important position on the team!
If this is what he needs, then he is in the wrong damn business!
For years now, I have been screaming that the NFL fixes games. Anyone watching Mahomes last night would be inclined to say the same thing. Now though, I believe the games are more "scripted" than fixed. Points are "shaved" at various points in major media games leading to a certain outcome. There is even a series of humorous NFL commercials pitching this concept. Talk about projection or hiding in plain sight.
It's been talked about ad nauseam. The NFL must make penalties reviewable. The CFL does it. No reason the NFL can't, too. Officials are not held responsible for mistakes.
Do it for 13 more games with no more games like the first 4 this season. Let's see if he can beat an awful Denver team. As decent as he played last night, he did screw up on the fumble. He did still make bad throws that could have gone the other way. I hope he continues to progress, but I don't have much faith in him or the Jets.
Read a stat posted by Cimini that Zach is the only QB that has had more completions, yards, TDs and less interceptions in a game against Mahomes in his entire college and NFL careers. I obviously agree that it needs to continue, but give the kid credit instead of pointing out the negatives. You lose credibility when you only see things one way in any forum.
Some of that credit has to go to the defense as well.
He did great at almost winning. If he does that every game, the Jets will almost win a lot of games. See how stupid that sounds. He played decent, but when crunch time came around he had multiple 3 and outs and a fumble. Zach can build on it or he can go back to the Zach we saw for every game prior. We all hope he continues what he did last night.
I wonder how well Zach could do if he had a very good LT, AVT, Tippman, RG, RT. A STOUT Offensive line that can give him great protection.
I have 25 games of bad Zach and one of a decent Zach. My brain tells me to trust my eyes and the past. Like I've said let's see 13 more games better than last night and I will jump on board. I also said I'm happy for Zach after a brutal week, but the did still lose the game and his fumble was a major reason for that.
