Former Jets C Nick Mangold is still feeling the impact of his release and is not sure he will return to the NFL, he said during SNY's "Jet Stream" podcast.
Speaking of his son, Mangold said his departure from the Jets was "difficult emotion to deal with. You have the pain of being cut, but you see the joy in his eyes."
Mangold, who made the pro bowl seven times in eight seasons, was released by the Jets in the off-season after 11 years with the team. He has not joined another team since then and has been plagued by a lingering injury. "Maybe there's more to (my career), maybe there isn't," Mangold said.
Mangold played at least 14 games in all but one of his 11 seasons. But his 2016 campaign, which lasted just eight games, was cut short due to an ankle injury.
