For those saying how great Favre was. He had some pretty good teams around him and only 1superbowl. He did some really stupid stuff.

His last pass in Green bay was a game losing int. Vs.Giants in playoffs.

Believe it or not, his last pass in Minnesota was also a game losing int. I'm the playoffs

And while I don't think it was his very last pass with the Jets, he did end his last game as a Jet with an int. That cost us the game.

I think we would have complained about Favre had he been a Jet for his entire career.

Marino went to only 1 superbowl and lost in his first season, then never went back. Although he ruined us many, many times he never won the superbowl. I don't think we'd have been happy with those results had he been out qb.

I know 1 superbowl appearance is better than none, but just sayin...

I think we Jets fans are smarter then that. It’s the Jets organization that is cursed and a bunch of idiots. Give us a young Farve that plays his entire career with us and brings us a SB and I’ll think we’ll be extremely happy. Or would have been anyway. Yes there would have been some frustration but overall what Farve did was legendary. Gotta give him props for that. Packers fans had their frustrations with Farve but loved him overall because of all he did for them and I think Jets fans would’ve done the same.

If this doesn’t prove how cursed this franchise is, I don’t know what will. While the Giants will draft their next franchise QB for the next 15 plus years. You know, the one we should have but because we’re a cursed franchise, we al resign McCown and start him next year because he’s our guy! Bullshit!!!

Note: with the new GM hire, the Browns may finally get it right while the Jets keep trucking down the dumb-dumb lane. SMDH!!!

so a QB having a good season should be benched for the benefit of what replacing with one inexperienced signal callers on the depth chart...

the team is trying to make the playoffs, regardless on how slim the chances are, they are still in the hunt... as for TB stating something now doesn't mean when the team is mathematically eliminated will they rethink their position moving forward... TB is a stickler trying to win, now not later and he also stated McCown is the starter for the rest of the season unless he gets injured...

again you are not the only one, but at the same time what happened in the past has nothing to do what is happening with this regime and especially how well this team is playing this year... showing us the potential of what could be... looking forward we have not one, not two but three receivers next year to give us three proven starters in RA, Kearse and Enunwa throw in two talented tight ends in ASJ (whom I do think the team will re-sign) and Eric Tomlinson who was a surprise this year (ERFA), then hopefully this year's rookie could rebound to be the third option in Jordan Leggett... Our running backs regardless if all three return, they are all under contract but one or two may be dealt and we still would have good backfield... Regardless if McCown is the starter or returns to be the backup/insurance so be it... This past off season, Bryce Petty made strides and could be competing for the job next off season, the hope is Hackenberg making that next step but again when or if it happens then so be it, but having a team waiting for them to make that next step and being a mediocre team in the process again is ridiculous...

our defense has made many strides, they are faster and have showcased making plays by certain players doing their jobs rather than getting the credit may it be a sack or interception...

this is why I am optimistic, so...

if you can not enjoy how they are playing right now then I dont know what to say...

but this whole thing about a cursed franchise is straight ridiculous...

Asfar as watching Petty or Hack get in a game, Westhoff, after one of the games on SNY said that McCown should be the starter because he watched Petty and Hack and they are not the answer. This off season you will probably see McCown brought back or maybe sign a Teddy Bridgewater, Tyrod Taylor. There will be some QB's hitting the open market and the Jets will have the bank to bring some one in, if their interested.
I don't think Petty or Hack are on this team next year.

Recent reports are that the OC wants to bring back McCown for next year, see what I mean. This may have already been discussed on another thread and I missed, so excuse me if I'm late on this but this is exactly what I'm talking about. They are bringing him back next and to start no doubt. If you think otherwise, you got it all wrong. Once again, signs of a cursed franchise that just can't and probably won't ever get it right.
