Bottom line, this is considered a terrific QB class at the top, particularly the top four, all of them have flaws you can pick apart if you want too, but they are all legit BLUE CHIP QB Prospects, so those top 4 picks were in demand and it was always going to cost a kings ransom to go up and get one. I'm a big DRAFT CHART GUY, but my friend at another board was right, when it comes to blue chip QB prospects, you can take that chart and toss it in the garbage.I agree we gave up a lot, but if we get a franchise QB, that is worth three 2nd rounders any day. If the Jets draft well, and they maneuver a bit on draft day, they can acquire additional picks in other rounds to add depth. The Jets must feel there is strength in the later rounds at positions of need, so that allowed them to make this move. I think the best part of this trade for us (beside the #3 pick) is that the Jets didn't have to give up next year's 1. So, yeah we gave up a lot, but all things considered, to hopefully get the guy we want, it was a very smart move.
Its supply and demand, and there is a huge demand (and small supply) for blue chip QB prospects in a QB driven league.
