If you respect Daniel Jeremiah (I do), WR Kevin White is in play at No. 6

I know a lot of people believe Amari Cooper is the only WR worthy of that pick, but I'm not sure if thats true.

Jeremiah's first mock draft and look who he has going #4 , ahead of Amari Cooper:

Jeremiah: WVU's Kevin White top receiver of 2015 NFL Draft

By Bryan Fischer

It's been a banner year in the NFL for rookie WR's, and it could be much the same with the incoming 2015 Draft class.

While it is still early in the process, one name that not many people have atop their positional rankings is West Virginia star Kevin White. Daniel Jeremiah has been digesting all the film he can of top prospects, and White appears to be No. 1 for him at the moment among wide receivers, with a lofty comparison to a current Atlanta Falcons star:

I love Parker, Cooper & DGB on tape but West Virginia's Kevin White is my top WR. He has the same traits as Julio Jones.

At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, it's no surprise that White evokes a favorable association with Julio Jones. Like the former Alabama star, White was at times unguardable this season and might have drawn more pass interference flags than any other receiver in college football. He was named a Biletnikoff Award finalist along the way and posted big numbers (109 catches, 1,447 yards, 10 touchdowns) despite having issues at quarterback late in the season and defenses often bracketing him whenever possible.

White will have competition to be the first WR taken in the upcoming draft. Louisville senior DeVante Parker bounced back from a foot injury to have one of the best multi-game stretches out of anybody late in the year, and Alabama's Amari Cooper won the Biletnikoff as the nation's best receiver.

That's to say nothing of former Missouri/Oklahoma pass catcher Dorial Green-Beckham (DGB), who has evoked Calvin Johnson comparisons because of his size and speed. White might be the most well-rounded of any of them, though, and that's why it's no surprise to see such high praise coming from a former NFL scout like Jeremiah.

I'm hoping we go CB but I'll take anything other than a DL as our first pick. That's not our highest need. There's some good CB's available in the draft. If we don't get Cooper at WR @ that first pick then I'd take Lockett. That guy is gonna prosper in the NFL.

I love Tyler Lockett! Great speedster type wide receiver who play deep and can contribute on special teams. He's a guy I would consider drafting if I was the Jets GM.

Lockett is not as injury prone and he's a great speedster type that would make a great impact on special team's. Great mid value pick. Reminds of Brandin Cooks, honestly. Depending how they approach free agency a WR like Percy is not a bad addition. If the Jets do release Percy I hope we do get a player like him minus the injuries or a productive number #1 wide receiver to replacement with.

Jets need a dynamic and an explosive wide receiver like Percy. If Lockett is a game changer and we can get him in the 3rd round, than sign me up.
I like Kevin White he improved since last year in 2013 with his hands. I've watched him play and I like how he uses his size and speed to beat defenders could use a guy like him. I also like Amari Cooper (who will most likely be chosen before the Jets) as well. Like Percy Cooper can also play mulitple positions and be a threat to opposing team's defense.

well yeah with a 3rd or 4th I agree I thought you wanted to take him first.......White to me is worth a first.

I am sure it is not lost on mccagnan how valuable andre johnson has been for the texans. I am not saying White will be like that but he does have the measurables and talent to.

No worries, I apologize should of mentioned that when I first made my comment. I agree I like white has great potential to be a #1 WR.

Kevin White will not be the 6th pick in the draft.
I don't see why not, this is not a particularly strong draft at the top and White has the size and skill to be a BIG #1 WR at the next level.

Nobody thinks either QB (Mariota or Winston) is an elite QB prospect like Andrew Luck, there's none of those in this draft. They might both go in the TOP 6, but that doesn't make them elite QB prospects, they just play the most important position and that will push them up the board, but I wouldn't call either one of them a better prospect than Kevin White.

That said, I have Amari Cooper slightly ahead of him, maybe Leonard Williams too, after that I have the edge rushers (Gregory, Fowler and Ray) and the big NT Danny Shelton all about even with Kevin White Tier 1, then comes the next tier for me, but even if you say White is at the backend of that top tier, that still puts him in the TOP 7 talent wise.

Thats how I see it, but I'm sure you see it differently.
