The more I read and hear, the more obvious it is that our new QB will indeed be our franchise QB. Everyone who has been around him mentions that he has the "It" factor. His coach met him when Sam was 16 and could not believe what an adult he was . Senior players at USC listened to Sam with rapt attention. Sam re-arranged a flight so that he could throw to his receivers who were being scouted. He decides to throw during a torrential rain at his pro day, rather than wait until the weather cleared. He strikes me as one of those men who was born to lead, without having to proclaim that he is a leader. Yes, he has mechanical flaws that can be corrected, but this leadership quality is either there or it isn't. To me, the two most important factors in being an NFL QB are
1. being able to quickly process what you are seeing when you drop back (The lack of this ability is Hack's fatal flaw) and then accurately make the right throw
2. being able to lead the team
For the first time since Joe, I feel confident. I will gladly change my screen name to Darnold14 if Sam can take us all the way, not that he cares about a forum screen name, LOL.
