Hey folks, long time no see. Had to log in and post my own HOLY CRAP!!! All phases. Love it.
On the road, prime time, Game 1.
The Jets probably aren’t going to dominate this game.

Somebody pinch me to make sure, or did we just blowout the Lions on MNF, on the road, in our season opener, with all three units scoring touchdowns?
And did Sam Darnold really fall into our laps at #3 Overall, after the whole draft world had him going #1 to the Browns?
I must be in the Twilight Zone, cause this kinda stuff doesn't happen to the Jets.
Well now
Now I'm officially excited for the home opener vs fish
I think it'll be a home crowd like we haven't seen in quite some time..
Guess I'm leaving home early Sunday morn.
And on a side note those announcers absolutely sucked big time.
How many times early on did they say Detroit handed everything to the Jets to keeep them in the game .
Hello 7 points spotted on first play
Horrible
Lets Go !
This was a thrashing. A smack down. All three phases played well.
Do we actually have a kicker and punt returner? Myers has a cannon leg, and Roberts was ripping off returns like a madman.

In one game, his very first game, Sam Darnold showed more mental toughness than Sanchez did in his entire careerWell it just did and this has probably never happened to us before. Well it did with Broadway Joe ofcourse but dare I say we just may be better off this time around. I know it’s a very very very very very very very very very very very long way away from making that type of comparison but this sure is a good damn way to start.

To throw a Pick 6 on his first NFL attempt is the absolute worst case scenario for a rookie QB, the one thing that makes lesser men crumble.
Lets take Mark Sanchez for example, the last USC QB we drafted in the TOP 10, a mental midget who would have folded like a cheap suit if that happened to him. He would have been sitting at the end of the bench, all by himself, towel over his head and sulking like a child.
Thats what I hated about Sanchez most of all, he was emotionally fragile, classic frontrunner. If everything was going his way early he was fine, but if he had to fight thru adversity, like what Darnold had to fight thru after his first NFL pass, he was mentally DONE for the rest of the game.
This kid, OTHO, Sam Darnold, showed the kind of mental toughness that wins championships in this league. This is what separates the legit FQB’s from the frauds. He may not be ready to win championships just yet, but thats the kind of toughness that wins championships.
This is a game we will all want to keep alongside the Miracle at the Meadowlands and THE Superbowl. I've never seen so much go right after such a horrible start.
Mustn't get carried away though, the Lions were dreadful; can we play them every week? Some blown coverages and missed tackles to fix on defense.
