Glad to have you back Jets fan.
Now all I need is the Rams to destroy the Raiders. Actually I don't care if they win as long as Brandon Cooks lights it up for about 30 fantasy point and the Rams D holds Amari Cooper to about 5 points, I'll win this week in my fantasy league. LOL!

Somebody pinch me to make sure, or did we just blowout the Lions on MNF, on the road, in our season opener, with all three units scoring TD's?
And did Sam Darnold really fall into our laps at #3 Overall, after the whole draft world had him going #1 to the Browns?
I must be in the Twilight Zone, cause this kinda stuff doesn't happen to the Jets.

This was a hell of a way to start the season. The Jets broke their will in that 3rd quarter. You could see it when Crowell ran that TD 62 yards. The Lions were broken.
Outstanding road win for our boys.
Its just one game and we have seen many Jets games end up like this, but not in our favor.

This is a game we will all want to keep alongside the Miracle at the Meadowlands and THE Superbowl. I've never seen so much go right after such a horrible start.

In one game, his very first game, Sam Darnold showed more mental toughness than Sanchez did in his entire career
To throw a Pick 6 on his first NFL attempt is the absolute worst case scenario for a rookie QB, the one thing that makes lesser men crumble.
Lets take Mark Sanchez for example, the last USC QB we drafted in the TOP 10, a mental midget who would have folded like a cheap suit if that happened to him. He would have been sitting at the end of the bench, all by himself, towel over his head and sulking like a child.
Thats what I hated about Sanchez most of all, he was emotionally fragile, classic frontrunner. If everything was going his way early he was fine, but if he had to fight thru adversity, like what Darnold had to fight thru after his first NFL pass, he was mentally DONE for the rest of the game.
This kid, OTHO, Sam Darnold, showed the kind of mental toughness that wins championships in this league. This is what separates the legit FQB’s from the frauds. He may not be ready to win championships just yet, but thats the kind of toughness that wins championships.
You want to know what’s so crazy, after that interception I really wasn’t that worried or upset. I just knew this kid could bounce back from it. Now I didn’t think the Jets would win the game anyway but I was just hoping they would stay competitive and fight hard to the end. I knew Darnold wouldn’t let it get to him like that would have crumbled 95% of the other rookie QBs out there. True franchise QBs can bounce back and I 100 percent believe we have that in Darnold.
