Barr Staying Put with Vikings

TCT, LMAO, wouldnt that be awful to have Mosley also pull out! No one wants big money to play for Jets? Maybe if Jets offered the entire 100mil. cap in a 4 year deal we could get a Player? Just 1? Thats how it looks with Jets throwing big money to Players only to have it thrown back in our face. ESPN was saying the only reason Mosley went to Jets is because of being over paid. I don't like it either, but Mac is only a small part of this problem. The organization is one of the worst in the history of sports. The Johnsons have continued to ruin this team. Mac offered a contract and the guy wanted to stay in a better place to live. It is what it is. Hopefully in a few years Darnold will have changed this culture and made it more desirable for FA's. Its embarrassing, but we are used to it as Jets fans.

This fiasco has allowed the Jets to sweeten the offer on a deal for Le’Veon, with a provision that he make his decision ASAP so that it not hinder any future FA deals should he decide to go elsewhere.

This is a first for me ( responding to my own quote ), but it seems the Jets main competition for Le’Veon’s services ( Ravens ) , could be turning their attention to Ingram , feeling the Jet offer might be a little too rich to match. Wouldn’t it be interesting if the Ravens made an offer to Ingram, which could backfire on Bell’s strategy to play both teams against each other. If Ingram agrees to an offer , and Bell has held the Jets back from negotiating with other players essential to the Jets plans, I can actually see Mac withdrawing his offer.

You can't blame Mac for this - if the player is dealing in bad faith, he is. If the agent is dealing in bad faith, he is. There's nothing that the GM can do about that. This is much more of a reflection on the player, not the organization. It's not a coincidence that these instances have occurred with Vikings players. They might seem shrewd, but honestly it's not a good way to do business. If Barr doesn't want to be here, the hell with him. Move on. He's not the only player out there.

yes. once we lose the only competition, why pay the boatload? I wouldn't overpay for someone who doesn't want to be here anyway

the male brain doesn't fully develop until age 25. and that doesn't mean that all males brains are developed at that age. Not to mention many of these guys aren't brain surgeons to begin with. I doubt anyone not named belichick is out to shaft the Jets. If anything his agent did it

As long as the Jets are still going to sign Mosely I’m OK with them letting go of Barr. Our linebacker core wasn’t that bad and now that you have Mosely it just makes it that much better. The Jets can focus that money they were going to give to Barr and other areas.

I hope Anthony Barr tears his ACL, MCL and ruptures his Patella Tendon. Better yet I hope he suffers the same injury that ended Joe Theisman’s career, a compound fracture, where the shin bone severs in half and literally breaks thru his skin.
