Ideally the Giants will trade up for the edge rusher they desperately need, Nick Bosa or Josh Allen, the Jets acquire the #6 Pick and the Giants early 2 (#37 Overall), perhaps more, and we take LT Andre Dillard at #6
At 37 we can target the best Edge Rusher, Wide Receiver, Center or Corner left on the board.
PS. If I wasn't convinced Andre Dillard is a franchise LT (reminds me of Brick Ferguson), I would never make this deal ... but I am.
Trading down for an O-lineman, even a LT, is never a sexy pick and the move will probably get panned, but if Dillard is our Brick for the next decade it will have been a smart move. If we want to give Sam every chance to succeed we have to give him playmakers at the skill positions and OL's who protect him like Fort Knox, especially his blindside. And this is coming from a guy who believes, wholeheartedly, that Q is the best player in the draft.
But if we have to remain at 3 and make the pick, my own rules, then I have to take the best player in the draft on my board ... Q
I'm old enough to remember Jerome Brown when he played for the Miami Hurricanes, and that's exactly who Quinnen Williams reminds me of.
Translation: Like Jerome Brown, this kid is a wrecking machine.
