Okay, I'll make the first two picks in the draft and make it as difficult as possible for the Jets because you have to be prepared for everything.

Trading down is NOT an option. You have to submit the #3 Overall Pick for the Jets:

1. CARDS - Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
2. 49ERS - Josh Allen, ER, Kentucky
3. NY JETS - ?????

I think it would have to be Q Williams if trading down was not an option. When again the BPA falls in your lap and he is far greater than the next option you have to take him. I’m sure our new DC could figure out a way to get the both Williams on the field in a productive manner.

I don’t know much about these college players, I don’t watch the games like that but with a question like this I wish I did. With no trade down option I would have to go Q. Williams. The way you guys blow him up (meaning the media and just about everyone on every website) I guess I have to go with yet again, another 300 pound d-linemen. He would be the best player available by far according to the majority, so I won’t be stupid in this. I’ll just say Q. Williams.

Note: I just hope everyone is right in there analogy that he is all world because L. Williams was supposed to be all world when he was coming out and he’s decent at best.

Has to be Williams. It's not my preferred pick because of fit, but he is an elite DL prospect.

Or - and hear me out on this - do you take Murray, knowing that some team would be willing to make a pretty big offer for him? If you can't trade the pick, can you trade the player?

I think you have to go with Williams and any team that would trade for Murry probably would have traded up to get him anyway and we might be left holding the bag with nothing to show for the pick.

Yeah, I know. And Williams is an impressive player. I just don't see the Jets not having suitors.

I'm certain there are suitors but the price for that pick, especially considering what the Jets might be giving up if they move out of 3, would be very, very high, or at least it damn well should be. Maybe no team will want that spot that badly. I don't know.

Bpa Q. Of course. I figure he's be good for a few roughing the Brady calls. And by roughing the Brady calls I mean getting within a few yards of Brady and drawing a flag of course. Not actually touching him.

I might be excited if he was the actual pick from what I've read anyway, as I don't
watch college

It has to be Williams because either he helps the other Williams excel or he replaces him when we cut him.

Ideally the Giants will trade up for the edge rusher they desperately need, Nick Bosa or Josh Allen, the Jets acquire the #6 Pick and the Giants early 2 (#37 Overall), perhaps more, and we take LT Andre Dillard at #6

At 37 we can target the best Edge Rusher, Wide Receiver, Center or Corner left on the board.

PS. If I wasn't convinced Andre Dillard is a franchise LT (reminds me of Brick Ferguson), I would never make this deal ... but I am.

Trading down for an O-lineman, even a LT, is never a sexy pick and the move will probably get panned, but if Dillard is our Brick for the next decade it will have been a smart move. If we want to give Sam every chance to succeed we have to give him playmakers at the skill positions and OL's who protect him like Fort Knox, especially his blindside. And this is coming from a guy who believes, wholeheartedly, that Q is the best player in the draft.

But if we have to remain at 3 and make the pick, my own rules, then I have to take the best player in the draft on my board ... Q

I'm old enough to remember Jerome Brown when he played for the Miami Hurricanes, and that's exactly who Quinnen Williams reminds me of.

Translation: Like Jerome Brown, this kid is a wrecking machine.

If this tackle is that good then hell yeah you do it, BUT IS HE? I'd say if this kid is that good, then try and get the Giants #6, #17 and their second round pick (at the least) and more IF YOU CAN GET IT. If that's all the Jets can get then do it and draft that tackle at #6, an edge rusher at #17 and WR like K'Neal Harry from ASU in the second round. Can't be mad with type of trade at all then!!!

I watch a lot of SEC football and love QWilliams; he would form an incredible duo with LWilliams. The up the gut pressure would be much more difficult for Brady to deal with than an edge rusher.

I’ve thought about that, but the thing is this. Q.Williams would probably play DE in a 3-4 alignment. McClendon was brought back as the NT/DT or whatever the official position is called. And I know some people might say “who’s Henry Anderson?” but he was brought back this year because he played very well in the 3-4 last season at DE. And of course, L.Williams is a lock at the other DE spot.

So where does Q. Williams fit? Would he be a rotational guy when we play a 4-3? That seems like a pretty high draft pick to use on a guy who’s not a 3 down lineman.

I think he has a greatness quality about him, and those kind of players force you to play them in any scheme. I also think that Gregg Williams will be very flexible in transitioning back and forth between the 3-4 and 4-3, his go to scheme. Don't get me wrong, Anderson and McLendon are good players but I don't think they are anywhere near Q in ability. Plus, he's a good kid who loves football. He may not get past 49ers at #2, so this could be all moot and we are 'stuck' with choosing between Bosa and Allen. Any way you look at it, we are in a good spot.

I think if you draft Q you have to switch to a base 4-3. No ifs, ands or buts, you either switch to a base 4-3 or don't pick him, even if he's King Kong.
